So basically I come here with my cousins for Karaoke. Lovely mix of pure talent, incredible passion and an overall warm and... encouraging environment for anyone who may sing off key, but has adventurous enough of a spirit to step up to the plate; to havefun with a welcoming group that often bursts with an energy which keeps me coming back. Ray the DJ and other fam I come for hasa stellar voice and often helps the nervous or forgetful come out of their shell. (And yes I'm tough enough on relatives to behonest here, I'd have said nothing if he sucked). Off putting sort are relatively rare, which is great for a bar. Food (why youlooked): garlic fries are yummy as was the salad I had (in picture). Pizza and baked potatoes are bar pizza and baked potatoesso those you'll enjoy for that realm. Excellent fried chicken, friendly staff. Chicken has excellent coating, not over-spiced. Dill dip is a must for the chicken... meat, as the coating is not heavily seasoned. Chicken was fresh cooked, hot, and juicy. Some waiting required because it's freshcooked. Fryer Tuck side is for to go orders; Cider Mill side serves sit down and is also a busy sports bar. Heard this place was pretty good, but wasn't prepared for the deliciousness! Their onion rings gave a giant portion of some of... the best onion rings I have ever eaten. Could not finish them, but they were a great late night treat, along with the chickenbreast and slaw I never got to. A house salad was fresh and tasty. But I took lots of food home. If you like those out of the way dive bar places that only the locals know about this is the place for you. They are known for... their chicken but they also have awesome potato salad and wedges. Maybe the best fried chicken in town at an amazing price. A bit greasy and heavy but hits the spot. I did the $11 three price... snack meal and the subbed out a wing for a breast for $1. It left me full at lunch with enough leftovers for dinner that night.A cool divey feel. Read more

I went here because I had an hour to kill in the area before a meeting. This place is exactly the kind of aesthetic I look for... in a homey dive bar. It's very cozy yet packed with all sorts of entertainment potential. They have pictures hanging on everyinch of the wooden walls a few fire places. It feels like a cabin in the woods. I went to the to-go part of the restaurantfirst, it being my first time there and this was where the kitchen with all the chicken is. The man at the counter told me Icould order from the lounge and to sit anywhere. I sat at the bar with a view of behind the bar area and saw many taps and awide selection of liquor. Once the server, Mercedes, was not busy she promptly came over to me and took my order; I knew what Iwanted. She told me it would be about a 15min wait, which I was fine with. It's nice to have that information! There werepatrons entering every few minutes and she would ask them, "would you like your regular?" Which I love in a home base. She kneweveryone and was a very kind host. This is a place you can feel you belong after becoming a regular. The food came out and itwas delicious. It was prepared by people who care about quality bar food, and they deliver. I would love to come back time andtime again, and would recommend anyone to check it out if you are looking for a brief respite from the busy city. Read more
