Inspired menu, terrible execution. Maybe it was an off night but I’ve never had that much butter/salt covering up what was... supposed to be creative dishes. Pretty sure the clams made me sick. Server, Elise was timely and pleaant.. I had some special requests which were simple. Please cook pasta well (soft) done, not... compliant, a drink... with lots of ice, not done. Olive oil, cheap and flavorless. I was happy that the chicken was thigh untilI saw that they had shredded it into threads. The place seemed clean, staff was pleasant. NO second trip. Read more

One of our favorite places in all of Portland. They have fantastic Italian food. They also have great cask aged drinks like... Negronis and Manhattans. Their bread is so good it comes with salt and olive oil but leave room for the appetizers and evendessert. They have excellent specials too. Post covid they have a pretty big outdoor space on the sidewalks as well as thesame indoor space they have always had. I usually get lasagna because it isn’t something we would usually cook but everythingis great we have tried most of it over the years. Also consistently excellent service and many of the same staff members foryears. Can’t recommend this place enough. Read more
This is a place to experience NW Portland at its best - and to recognize a lot of faces if you have been paying attention to... Portland history. The food is lovely - traditional Italian made from farm fresh ingredients. Pasta made fresh by hand everymorning. Wines from small local and Italian wineries. The atmosphere is relaxed - "Come in ! Sit down, relax ! Have some wine!Now, what sounds good to eat..." I always recommend the fish special - always wonderful. But if they have lamb chops!!! Myhusband leans toward pasta. Or risotto.
