We made the trip downtown on our one day off together to try this new place we seen on TikTok and other social media posts and... IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Hands down , The best sandwiches ever! The fries are ala carte but are so good! We had this reddipping sauce that was incredible and so good! Definitely worth the trip! It was $34 for two sandwiches , fries and an orangedrink and one water. My boyfriend is a big eater and he couldn’t even finish the fries we got to share! It’s also next toan indoor bar with games, couches and good beers! It was such a good choice for a fun day!! Highly recommend this business andHope it’s lasts because we definitely will be back!! I’d give 20 ** stars if I could!! Read more

At this brand new funky boutique hotel called the Moxy in downtown Portland. Here trying The Big E which is a highly acclaimed... sandwich place that is owned by a celebrity chef from Minnesota. The Big E is located in the Moxy and is named after TheNotorious B.I.G. I heard the rooms at The Moxy start at $499 a night, but it turns out you can snag one for just $150.\n\nHERNAME IS YOSHIMI\nSCRAMBLED EGG, LUMP CRAB, BEAN SPROUT, SCALLIONS, PICKLED DAIKON, MISO AIOLI. (Named after a Flaming Lips song)and an Ecliptic Starburst IPA.\n\nIt Was All A Dream (steak, fried egg, American cheese and Welch’s Grape Jelly) French frieswith curry ketchup and a Worthy Lights Out Stout Read more

Aug 27 2022 update: went back to have another sandwich and knocked a star off overall the sandwich was delicious. I had the... cheese eggs and welches grape sandwich so it had steak on it. Never had jelly on a sandwich and I always thought Biggie meantgrape juice but the grape jam was great with the eggs and cheese . The problem.was the meat as it was tough and made thesandwich hard to eat. Def need a better cut of steak.\nSaw a news story about this place and since Biggie was one of thegreatest rappers, I decided to check out the sandwiches even though I\'d just had breakfast. Short walk from the max line orstreet car and in the Moxy hotel. I honestly didn\'t know that Moxy was a hotel and I thought the sign was a Frozen Yogurtplace. There is a tablet outside the stand that you order and pay so no interaction which is fine by me. I also noticed that youcan scan a code at the tables and order and you get a text when your food is ready. I got the Cream (Cash rules everythingaround Me) and my pops had a Dark side of the moon. Mine was great with smoked salmon but not over smoked, creamy stuff, onionsand other stuff that made.it all come together. The whole place and atmosphere is pretty cool and probably a good place tohangout as they are connected to the hotel lobby and have a very large lounge area to hangout and they have a DJ at certaintimes so follow them on whatever media you use. As for Big E, it gets 5 mics. Will have to check out the other sandwiches. Read more

So this is my 2nd visit to this place. I can say that i did come prepared this time and brought my own drink.\n\nThis visit i... ordered the sandwich with the crab and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. It was so good that I wanted more food.\n\nThis time aroundI had a chance to meet the cook. He was really nice. He came over and asked if my food was ok and if I needed anything else. Healso gave me samples of their house sauce to go with the free fries he gave me when I ordered a 2nd burger.\n\nI\'m not surewhat the 2nd burger was called. It was pretty basic, just with egg. The fries were great and tasted even better because theywere free.\n\nI wish I would have gotten the cooks name so that I could name him in this review. Overall food was still pipinghot and made to order, which I absolutely love. The wait time was about 7 minutes. Can\'t complain about that when the food ismade fresh.\n\nAgain the cook was super nice. We had a conversation and he invited me back to speak with his manager the nextmorning but I had work the next day . This place is great. I absolutely love the food. Of course I will visit again. I thinkthis spot be a regular place that I visit at least twice a month.\n\nAgain my only complaints are, they don\'t serve any drinks, sandwiches should come with the choice of a combo meal and prices are slightly high. With that said, I\'ll still spend $18 on agood sandwich from this place than to spend $10 at a fast food joint that will serve you old cold food, if you even get theright food.\n\nI absolutely love food and I review only the best and the worst. I am also a cook, so I know what it feels liketo make good quality food and enjoy the smiles on the customers faces. IG fyreflygrill. Read more

Had C.R.E.A.M. and her name is Yoshimi. Both excellently prepared and delicious. They really know what they’re doing here! The... lounge area was great to beat the heat while still feeling safe (garage door was open improving air circulation). Willdefinitely be back! Read more

Little order window inside the Moxy hotel. They’re calling it a “food cart alley” but it’s just two restaurants. We got... the bacon egg and cheese., and one with egg feta and spinach. Both delicious! Loved the aioli, and the buns were pillowy soft.Would happily eat again, but will say it felt a little pricey at $15 per sando. After you order you can find a seat in the bararea of Moxy and you could presumably get beverages there too. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. Read more
