Little window order and pick up bakery. The guy who too our order was so kind. He gave us some local food recommendations and... even threw in an extra honeycomb steamed rice cake(Bánh Bò N??ng). We dropped by during closing time. There was no queue andwe received our goodies immediately! You should probably eat them immediately though. I have the rice bowl first and I don’t like it, strongly suggest non Asian ppl don’t get rice bowl. But their cake totally... what I like even tho some of them looks wired. If my friends didn’t drag me here I will not know they make some good cakes:) Read more
11/10 for the pastries and quality of baked goods. Seriously you never miss the gluten or dairy. There is some serious wizardry... going on because everything is sooo good and full of flavour. It’s amazing. When it comes to pick-up you set a time slot topick-up the pastries, but when you arrive to pick-up you wait in a line with even people that haven’t pre-ordered. If thepeople ahead of you are slow to order you could be waiting for 20 minutes after arrival. That said, it’s worth the wait. Onceyou do get to the pick-up window it’s very quick and they are super nice. Tried one of everything and everything was amazing! Trying these authentic Vietnamese treats was quite an experience with... different textures and flavors you don't see in a lot of American baked goods. I truly loved the experience and am reallylooking forward to trying more! I placed my order ahead of time on Tock and the box was ready to go at my scheduled arrivaltime. Read more
Amazing experience from start to finish, with the minimal interior to delightful surprise of fun interior decor in the bathroom.... The thoughtfulness from the whole experience to interaction with the staff were so consistent- from fresh clean blankets to keepyou warm in case you get cold to getting a complimentary dessert for celebrating your anniversary. They even give you a littlecard at the end of your dining experience with the date and the detail of the meal and beverage pairing you had- something toremember the night ???? Chef Vince Nguyen is a true artist with food. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING is so well thought out in this entire experience.... From the moment you walk in you are welcomed into this magical experience of fine dining. We opted for the wine pairing and hadthe most amazing dinner... the wines were so perfectly paired with each of his perfect creations featuring the best ingredientsfrom Portland. This review is LONG overdue!! I cannot state how much I LOVE Berlu, and its amazing bakery! My wife took me out for a birthday... date and wedding celebration, and we had an amazing experience with the Chef, Vince. I had to go back for the Sunday Bakery, andliterally bought WAY TO MUCH!
