A bit overpriced IMO. The chicken curry (Japanese) tasted the best to me. The mushroom was decent but lacks flavor or seasoning... and had to drown it with condiments and the the tofu was the blandness and light on the filling. They could fill the bao more. Read more
Delicious and simple buns. Their mushroom bao is the best one (surprisingly better than the meat ones) and good for a snack when... hungry. The mushroom bao was flavorful enough to not use with sauce. Their bun is so soft too -- like a pillow. Would have giventhem 5 stars if the other bao, the tofu one had more flavor. Read more
10/10 Excellent bao shop! Their handmade dumplings are freaking delicious, and the bao is amazing! Would love to eat here again.
I had high hopes for this place but was kind of disappointed. I was passing through town and was craving real dim sum, like... $1.50 Bao from a huge steamer basket served by Chinese people. Without knowing what it was like, I stopped at Bao Bao and got 2?$3.50 Bao, the bbq pork Bao was delicious and the bun texture was awesome. The chicken curry I didn?t care for. The pan friedpork dumplings were awesome. Very well done on those. I also got a cold noodle salad with chicken that I felt was lacking inflavor. It was cold, fresh, and had some oil and soy sauce to go on top. It needed something more?more crunch, morespice/flavors needed. This is more of a hip Portland Bao place that is kind of expensive with limited Bao choices. If you go, Irecommend the pan fried pork dumplings and bbq pork Bao. Read more

Not bad, but strangely bland. Maybe more of a quick lunch than the dim sum heaven you might hope for. (Yes, I know a place that... focuses on just bao isn?t really a dim sum palace?) The bao (chicken curry or pork) revolve around a ?meartball? of maceratedmeat with sauce. Admittedly, I was jonesing for a char sui bao which isn?t on the menu, so a certain amount of let down wasinevitable. The store front has a few small tables in front of the window; most of the business seems to be take out. Cleanbathroom (always nice). Cucumber salad was mostly julienned carrots. If you?re in the neighborhood and need some sustenance, nottoo filling, and you?re not too critical, could be acceptable. Read more
