The food was excellent and we didn't have to wait long after ordering to receive it. The only downside to our dining experience... was upon arrival. There was just my husband and I and our 5 year old twins. While there were a couple of booths open that weeasily could have fit in, the hostess preferred to seat other people before us who had actually come in after we did. The receptionist was very kind, opening doors for prospective patrons. The bartender was gracious and very welcoming. Our... server was amazing, thinking of everything we might need or want. My husband and I received a gift card to Applebees for $60. Most of the places we dine, that would just about cover the drink... tab. Not at Applebees though, $60 goes a long way there, without sacrificing flavor and quality either. We had drinks, twoentrees, and two desserts, with enough money on the card left over for a generous tip. My husband had ribs and fries. Granted,it?s not the most glamorous presentation, but does it really need to be? He said the flavor was good and the portion was plentyto satisfy but still leave a tiny bit of room for dessert. I had the southwest chicken bowl. The portion was enormous! I had toask for a second plate just so the food wouldn?t spill out of the bowl. The chicken was so flavorful, and not at all dry. Eachcomponent of the bowl had distinct flavors just as described in the menu and tasted even better than it sounded. I chose thisdish because it was gluten free and one of the lower calorie options. The menu clearly labeled gluten friendly foods and listedcalorie counts. Sadly, there were no gluten friendly desserts so we took what would have been mine home to our son. It was amolten chocolate cake with ice cream and he enjoyed it. It looked and smelled delicious. Our waitress was super personable andattentive. The atmosphere is family friendly. Arrived for lunch. Place was clean and being sanitized after every customer left the area. Had the baby bbq ribs. Not bad if you... can't get to a real bbq place. The meat was dry but not shoe leather dry. The ribs was not overly sauced but I would of liked alittle more on the side to compensate for the dry meat. For the price I was expecting a bigger portion size of coleslaw..it's afour bite fork sizes portion. One of the best items for me is the different flavored lemonade. One that seems to be discontinueis the Kwik lemonade..wish you would bring that back. Overall not a bad place to go for a quick bite to eat.
