Great, friendly service that was super helpful about trading orders and bringing the check very quick. This is, of course, very... appreciated when you're trying to grab a bite or a drink right before a show. The food was serviceable pub food with a prettyeclectic menu. If you're seeing a show at the Aladdin, this is a great spot to stop in beforehand. (Plus you can get yourwristband ahead of time and stand in a much shorter line! ) Read more

Fantastic brunch especially the shakshuka. Great blues performers on Saturday brunch like Tevis Hodges Jr. makes this place one... of a kind. Read more

This bar is fantastic! My long island ice teas we're handmade (not premix). The spicy wings appetizer special was great and our... dinners were excellent. Bacon cheddar burger and gyros! If you're attending a concert that evening in the adjacent Aladdintheater, the bar can give you a bracelet to wear so you can get in the short line which is considerably less weight than theregular general admission line to the theater. Totally authentic Old School Portland Place which definitely draws working-class neighborhood people and hipsters. We went here... for Burger Week and the burger was thin but the Char was tasty. We looked over at other people eating their extravagantly SaucedMiddle Eastern fries and said my oh my, we are going to come back here for this! [edit] i came back for what can best bedescribed as middle eastern dairy free "nachos" except on fries and it was awesome. very well made components delicioustogether. Read more

We stopped in here before a show and beat the crowd. We were promptly seen by our server who brought us menus and took our drink... order. It got very busy closer to show time and while it did take longer to get drinks after that, it was understandable. I hadthe hummus and falafel balls ($10) and they were really good and fresh. Wine was 7-9$ a glass and kinda small pours. Once theshow started our server gave us plastic cups so we could take next door. Yummy food and nice atmosphere. Read more

Great place to stop for a bite and a drink before seeing a show at the Aladdin. Wait staff are friendly and helpful and the... food is good. Had the BBQ Chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of it. The place has a very oldschool tavern vibe, so if you're looking for a modern cocktail bar, this isn't for you. But if you want decent food at a goodprice in a cozy place, you may want to give the Lamp Tavern a try. Read more
