Building is pretty cool inside. All ordering and interactions are basically through your phone unless you?re receiving your... food. Gyoza was an A Ramen was a C Service like I said is basically not there which is fine. What?s not fine was the notoptional 15% service fee they decided to charge me for my large party of 4 people with two separate checks. Hopefully thatmoney actually goes to the staff. The food was delicious, and the standout was the fried chicken bao. I also loved the 4 piece of dumplings, so yummy! I got a... kid sized ramen because I was dining solo. I went on a Tuesday at 11:50 am and it was maybe one third full. I used the onlineordering system and the food took about 20 min to arrive. I can't imagine how long the wait would be when it's full. I wouldgo back but be prepared to wait! Self serve tepid water. Read more
Came here for the first time because it?s right next to our apartment. Really enjoyed the food but the service was interesting -... order on your phone and the food came out pretty slow. Ordered the seaweed salad, spicy tori karaage, Kakuni pork bun (ourfavorite), steamed gyoza, and yuzu shoyu. The pork bun was amazing and we enjoyed the ramen as well. The food was great. Only 4 stars because of their ordering system. Since the pandemic I've used numerous versions of phone... based ordering. Theirs did not work well at all. We started by seating ourselves and ordered some beverages while we looked atthe rest of the menu. The app said the order was placed and I pressed "order more". A long time passed with no beverages so wethought maybe they would come with the food order that we placed about 10 minutes after the drink order. After about 15 moreminutes the food arrived, still no drinks, so we asked about it. They checked and said the order never went through. I showedthem the order on my phone and they brought them. Slightly annoying but in the end, it was fine. It would have been avoided iftheir servers came around to check on people, like traditional service. When we were done and closing the tab, the app added amandatory 15% tip which you cannot alter, and then a suggested 25% tip on top of that. If I hadn't noticed, I would have left a$19 tip on a $49 bill. I am always a generous tipper, but considering their servers act more like food deliverers and never cameback to check on us, I think 40% is excessive. We stopped here because we needed something warm. We enjoyed everything we ordered here. The ramen was good and tasty. I like my... ramen to have a kick with spice so I ordered the tan tan men. I asked for extra spicy oil for extra spice. It was good and thenoodles were great. We also had the ton katsu, which was also good but less flavorful than the first for sure. The crispy gyozawere good and we really enjoyed the sauce it canes with. The fried chicken bun was probably our favorite since it had a tad offreshness with the cucumber that is inside. Establishment Nice and friendly staff. It?s modern inside and they have a techforward ordering computer. Wow the best Ramen in Portland/Vancouver!! They make everything in house from scratch. So the food tastes so fresh and full of... flavour! Ramen hit the spot, the steamed dumplings were out of this world and the steamed buns were yum too! You won?t regreteating here. The ambience is nice too. There seems to be limited seating, so I would suggest going early. But the food came outso quick so there?s a fast move along. 100% recommended Read more
The food here is fantastic. Sure, the ordering style is different, but nothing complicated. I actually liked how we could take... our time on the screen and decide what to order without pressure, and that we could review our order first. We always get waytoo much food, but this time it worked out. The quality and options are great. Their ramen broth is excellent, and their smallerplates and appetizers are also amazing. The spicy steamed dumplings were an explosion of flavors. The only thing that I wouldchange is being able to make comments when ordering. You can only add or remove options, so if you want something on the sideit?s not possible to select. Read more
Afuri is a must! The soft shell crab bun was amazing, the crunch with the soft hot bun made me so happy. Also they have gluten... free noodle options for all the allergic peeps out there. Read more
