One of the best restaurants I've been to in years, puts many places in bigger cities to shame. Cocktails were amazing and the... bartenders skill levels were impressive, putting out beautiful craft cocktails at impressive speeds. The food was also amazingeven though we only shared a few small plates, the burrata was delicious and my wife had the best meatballs she's ever had. The atmosphere, the drinks, the food and the service were all outstanding. Especially for the pricing, which we thought was very... reasonable. I had the risotto, which was light and exquisite, and an old fashion with Makers bourbon. They have a prettyextensive list of liquors for one to choose from. The only aspect I would change is how loud it can get; the acoustics of theplace are not great for conversation. Read more
A fun experience - the green velvet seating just makes it extra ~classy~ The food is yummy and portions are European style and... sized (I personally prefer that). Specials are always available and a nice menu addition. If you?re looking for a date night orsomething a little elevated, it?s the place to go. The building itself is just beautiful too! Read more
Great for cocktails, apps, and/or dinner! The drinks are all very good. They do come with NY prices but most of the drinks are... worth it! The appetizers were great, the cheese and meat plate is perfect if you're just going for cocktails and looking for abite. We came back the next day for the full dinner and it was also very delicious. The pasta is a rotating menu so you may notget what you see online but they are all tasty no matter which you end up choosing. The staff are awesome and the overall vibeis swanky. Read more
The decor is so romantic and beautiful! we went for Valentine's dinner (3 weeks advance reserve) and it didn't disappoint us. My... pasta was just perfect, tasty, and a great portion! the ossobuco was very good and abundant too (maybe a little expensive about50us). Read more
Any time we come to Portland now, VV is on our dinner agenda. Reservations have always been helpful for us in the past but we... have also got lucky with bar seating. I love it for the atmosphere, it is such a stunning place to be. If you are a lover ofbeautiful spaces and places, this dining experience is for you. My husband and I often like to make it an event and get dressedup for dinner here. There are two parts to the restaurant, I prefer the back seating (personally) but both, front of house andback seating are beautiful, you can't go wrong. The cocktails are not only stunning, they taste fantastic. The food is alwaysdelicious and seasonally fresh.The staff is professional and friendly. I can't wait to return! Read more
We had a lovely early dinner on New Year?s Day. We arrived right at 4 when they opened and they were able to seat us immediately... without a reservation. The food was fantastic (risotto and squid-ink pasta, a special for the day, were cooked perfectly),cocktails inventive and well-balanced, service was spot-on and the the vibe was quaint, but fresh and sexy. This place is beautiful inside and out ! The food here was outstanding! We brought the kiddos and the waitress was so nice she... even catered to the kids selections . The waitress brought over marinated veggies to start us off . For appetizers, my daughterordered meatballs , my husband ordered the octopus and I had a acorn salad . All delicious. For dinner , I had a seasonal pastadish with butternut squash , sausage and kale and my husband and kids had the pasta and pizza ! Everything was phenomenal!!!!Highly recommend!
