We LOVED this place! The service and food were excellent. We had the pancakes with house cured salmon, schnitzel, sauerbraten,... and a delicious piece of chocolate cake to finish a great meal. I?m not a German food aficionado, but I?ve visited many partsof Germany over the years and based on my experiences the Schulte & Herr delivers authenticity. The fact that it?s a Germanfamily business and the owners are cooking and serving everything ensures things are done properly and with pride. The food was fantastic, and they were very very nice. During covid regulations we had to take out and eat our lunch at a nearby... park, but it was still perfect. Hopefully someday we'll be back in the area and have a dine in experience! Read more
I love this cozy, homey place. It's not a fancy restaurant by any means, but the food is wonderful, the service is great, and... the coffee is bottomless. When I was a local I went often, and every time I'm back in Portland I make a point to eat breakfasthere at least once! Read more
This small place is a gem. From the mismatched tables and chairs to the plates and glasses, everything will remind you of being... in a relative's home. The restaurant reminded me of the places I would go to in Portugal, as most of the best restaurants are the small local places that make you feel like you are eating at home. The food is incredibly delicious and tastes extremelyfresh. We went for brunch and we were there early and served by the owner. She was very friendly and offered suggestions on themenu.
