We love Mazzat so much! One of our favorite spots to grab dinner to go. Best falafel in Portland and the piece of baklava they... give you with your meal is such a treat. Everyone please please support this amazing business!! Read more

We did sit down. Had the Shish and Kabab combo, chicken Shawarma plate, side of Tabbouleh everything was good only that the... tabbouleh was a little old (they have a to go fridge and we were given one of those), still had flavor but was missing thefreshness. Would definitely recommend to those that like a traditional kebab style restaurant. I would still come back here thedishes are well prepared and executed. Read more

Really outstanding food and flavors. The seasoning of the chicken shawarma was excellent and cooked perfectly on a kebab. The... hummus had an excellent smooth texture. The owner gave us a taste of his lentil soup which was also awesome and we ordered moreto take home. Very friendly if you do decide to dine in. Read more

This is a review of the food when ordered for delivery via 2DineIn, it's possible it's better when you're there in person. I... don't normally write reviews, but this was a particularly bad meal, and I was especially surprised having seen all the goodfeedback here. We ordered a gyro plate, a falafel sandwich, and a variety of salads/mezze. All of the mezze except the shirazihad clearly been sitting in a fridge for multiple days?the olive oil on top of the labneh and in the tabouleh was hardened fromsitting in the fridge, the parsley in the tabouleh was a dull green instead of bright and fresh, the dolmas were rock hard, andthe tabouleh had that slightly acidic, fermented taste of having sat around for several days. The gyro sandwich was dry and hadno tzatziki on it, as ordered. The gyro platter (shown here) cost a whopping $20 on 2DineIn (that's a delivery rate, it's $2cheaper in store) and came with some inoffensive but not especially flavorful meat, tomatoes and romaine with a lemon wedge, aTON of rice, fries, a half-dollar-size piece of baklava, baba ghanoush, and toum (garlic whip). There was no option to choosethe accompaniment, and I'm allergic to eggplant, so much of this platter went to waste, which was disappointing. The garlic whiptasted more like plain mayo and lacked the fresh, pungent garlic flavor of true toum. The fries were the best item we got, perhaps because they were the only thing that actually tasted fresh. As I said, it's possible the food would be better inperson?I can't speak to that?but it's definitely not worth ordering for delivery or to go. Read more

My normal falafel place was closed today, so on a whim I decided to try Mazzat. I ordered the kabob plate, and was impressed.... Even for a quick delivery order, everything was well thought out, with perfectly char-grilled tomatoes and bell peppers. Thekabob itself was well-spiced without being over-spiced, and was still juicy. The fries were also subtly spiced, and still crisp, which is hard to do with delivery. My only complaint is that it was so good I had already eaten half of it before I realized Ihadn't taken a picture for this review. Read more
