Food was excellent, although the building of the pockets could use a little tweak. Had some that was just cheese well before the... end. But was still delicious and not really a complaint. The nachos were really good and the sauces are excellent. Nice changeto the type of foods I am usually exposed to. Will definitely go back soon. Read more

What a wonderful discovery! We were out of town and decided to stop by. I have never tried arepas before, and I was... (unsurprisingly!) a big fan. The food is made fresh to order and the serving sizes are extremely generous. There is no need toworry about whether one will be enough. This may not, however, be a quick grab and go option though. While there are severaldelightful looking options that included meat, our crew was especially excited by the vegan and vegetarian options that the menucatered to as well. Stop by if you can! The Veg Overload is a really yummy vegan option. I wish there was a larger vegan offering.

Wonderful food! Everything was made with super fresh ingredients and you could tell, it was delicious! Be sure to try some of... their sauces, we liked every sauce we tried. Good little beer selection, including gluten free beers. The entire restaurant isgluten free, I have celiac disease and this put me at ease eating here! We look forward to returning. Read more

Every time I travel to Portland I visit Maiz. They are celiac safe and have the best food in town! They have gluten free beer,... great polar seltzer and other beverage selections. I have had every arepa on the menu. This is the perfect place to grab a quickbite to eat or take something to go. The customer service and care they give their customers is unmatched. Read more
