Reviews for DiMillo's On The Water in Portland, ME
Who can resist authentic Maine seafood served in the harbor on an iconic boat turned restaurant? Walking up, you feel like this... is the place you should be when taking a cocktail or enjoying traditional Maine classics. The bar is something to talk aboutwith open views of all things harbor and seating on both sides. Stan’s Seat is marked for our Uber driver’s Father, a realtreat to hear her story then find his spot. The dining hall is multi tiered and has the best atmosphere for a casual/semi formalvibe. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Note - this is a tourist area, it gets busy! Give the staff a little acknowledgmentand try to make a reservation or practice your patience when enjoying this neat place. Cheers. Read more
Great food, atmosphere and service! Our server, Annie was amazing! She made sure that we had everything that we needed and... always with a smile! She was extremely personable and made our night out more memorable. We loved feeling like we were eatingon a boat. Read more
When we arrived, there was wait line. But it's not long before we got called into the restaurant. The restaurant feels roomy... with beautiful decorations. As I expected, we love all the food we ordered. My 15-years-old love the Lobster Roll. We orderedfour appetizers and... OMG, the appetizers are big. We only finished 3 1/2 plates. Overall, the food prices are veryreasonable for the amount of food we got. We strongly recommend this restaurant. Read more
Highly Recommend! We didn't have a reservation, but they got us in right away. The service was great and the food was amazing!... We had clam chowder, french onion soup, lobster stew, bacon wrapped scallops, and salad to start. Mom opted for the lazylobster, which she said was great. My brother and I both went for the deep fried lobster, and if you've never tried it youdefinitely need to! The views were nice too. Overall just an excellent dining experience! Read more
DiMillo's exceeded our expectations in every way. My goal was to overindulge in lobster and the "Lazy Lobster Admiral Portion"... did exactly that. The best gravy for the mashed potatoes I've ever had. My wife ordered the "Lobster Mac & Cheese" and its in aleague of its own, total flavor bomb. Iko our waiter made the experience unforgettable with his professionalism, knowledge ofthe menu and friendly demeanor. We enjoyed everything about our experience and will dine here each time we are in thearea. Thank you for creating an ideal dining atmosphere and hiring top notch people to deliver unforgettable experiences. Read more
I came here for dinner at 7:30 and got seated in less than half hour. We had bread for an appetizer and then got our drinks.... It’s so cool in here and the tables are spaced out, and it feels so roomy. The restaurant was on a boat, it only rocked onceor twice but not bad at all. I totally recommend!! Read more
Food was great, staff was incredibly pleasant and the view was remarkable. The music is a fantastic mix of older classic rock... and the atmosphere is not overwhelming; nor loud or chaotic. The bar is incredibly clean with apx 30 seats; perfect for singlefolks traveling for work or leisure. I’ve traveled all over the country and for what this place has to offer, the prices arebeyond reasonable. I’m an exceptionally picky woman and although the steak isn’t Japanese A5 Wagu (obviously) it’s wellabove par if you take into consideration the overall “experience” you’re getting! Read more
Loved the whole experience! We did a walk in, because no one was answering the phones unfortunately. And it was a quick 5... minutes to be seated. Food was so delicious and filling! We split everything for two people, so it was just enough. Our waiterChris was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! He was very kind, understanding and patient. My sister, who doesn't like seafood, was shocked thatshe liked the scallops and lobster! My favorite was for sure the scallops! Total came out to $117 and some change and then ofcourse the tip is separate but yeaa! Read more
