I don't like hoppy beers, and was after the bourbon barrel aged dark beer, which wasn't available. However, the waitress spent... 10 minutes trying to find a great alternative, even offering to let me try another canned beer and "only pay if you enjoy it"! Great service! Pizza a little thinner than I personally prefer, but great flavor. Live music from three old guys who laid downsome great jams completed the Saturday evening ambiance. I'll return. Read more

Sneaky strong Pizza location. Ultra thin, crispy grilled pies that have a hint of the grill flavor on the crust. Salad... dressings and apps are all homemade. Don't miss the mozzarella sticks - they're amazing. I'll be back for the wings whichlooked great. Read more

My wife and I were going to hit up the bowling alley nearby but the rooftop bar was closed for a private event. So in lieu of... that, we decided to walk across the street to Coals. WHOA! Fantastic atmosphere and the drinks were on point. The buffalocauliflower was phenomenal and the wait staff was very attentive and personable. Definitely going to return. Read more

Tonight was our first time trying Coals and we were blown away. If you enjoy thin crust pizza this is the place for you. The... housemate mozzarella is also incredible in the Italian Salad and Mozz Sticks. Service was also top notch and the decor isgreat. Did I mention the live music. ???? Read more

Birthday dinner for my wife. She loves pizza and we decided to give this restaurant a first time try. First choice pizza, they... didn't have all the ingredients. Our 2nd choice was absolutely delicious. Read more

One of our favorite date spots! The flatbread is so delicious first of all. It's best enjoyed in person because it's such a thin... crust. I also love the staff, our server was very sweet this time and they've always been good on other visits. Definitely oneof my favorite pizza spots if I'm looking for something on the lighter side. I cannot recommend Coals Bayside enough. We had an absolute blast. The restaurant was hopping busy, so we sat at a high top bar... window that is not their best spot, but that did not hamper the experience in the slightest. All the wait staff were incredible. They were fast, caring, and kind. Big, big thanks to Nick! A legend among the staff and Coals is lucky to have you. Thespecialty cocktails were good. We switched to some classic Gin & Tonics eventually that were a great deal at $7. They have areally sweet item on their menu at the very bottom where you can buy ?a round? for the kitchen staff that are hard at work inthe back. We did this. You should do it too when you can spare the cash. It was sweet. THE PIZZA: can it be praised enough?Probably not. Lots of people have opinions on pizza. Here?s mine: I love all pizza. Look at my last name. Ha! However, I lovethin crust as a typically superior pie. NY style is often the best, and it?s often thin. Coals is an ultra thing pizza. Eat inthe restaurant if you can. It maximized the crunch. The ingredients were all proportionally perfect, had good flavor, and wereclearly fresh. The San Marzano tomatoes they use rock! The thin slices basil was great. If you like mushrooms, get them, even asan add on. You won?t regret it. Thank you for a great night that started not too well at THE YARD around the corner. The tonefor the evening was broken straight through by the awesome staff and offering at Coals. We?ll be back. Thanks! Read more
