Really enjoyed the lobster roll. Tasted fresh, and they don\'t skimp like some places will. The oysters were good too! I\'ll be... returning. Read more

Great little roadside food trailer. Excellent food. Nice lady. Had a lobster roll, bowl of clay chowder and John\'s river... oysters. All very good. It is outside seating. Price is comparable to Portland Lobster Co. Read more

If you travel this stretch of W. Commercial often you probably saw the old Benny\'s slowly deteriorate, seemingly headed for... some depressing satellite parking lot or something. Well, fear not!! The clams are back, baby, and better than ever!!!\n\nTo beclear, I don\'t think the city is allowing them a fryolator yet, so it\'s not your fried clam stand, but what they do have isoutstanding. My lady had the steamers which were suuuuper good. There was some smoked brisket in the broth as well and a littlebuttery grilled hot dog bun to soak up that goodness. I had an amazing pork sandwich with a pickled banana pepper slaw and somecrema. Spicy! Two beers in cans, two cocktails (marg/painkiller), and some wines by the glass or bottle (that\'s not what we hadfor lunch, it was just on the menu). There was also a lobster roll, a clamcake sandwich, oysters, some souped up red snapper hotdogs.\n\nIf you ever went to the Royale Lunch Bar in Portland, I believe it\'s the same family/chef behind that. Maybe thathelps explain it, but I love that they didn\'t just roll out basic, tired stuff. It\'s actually exciting food! At a roadsideclam bar!!\n\nIt\'s on the side of a busy 2-lane road, so it\'s not your top pick for quiet ambiance or a first date (or maybe??Quick getaway??), but it still feels kind of cool, the prices are great for what you get, and you\'re supporting a nice family.It\'s easy to tell that this is going to be an ever evolving business and it\'s probably just going to keep getting better andbetter. Everything gets better with a fryolator. Read more
