I started my day wanting lasagna. Maybe Garfield cartoons influence my mind. I am happy to say I got what I wanted here at... Bruno's. I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella. So good. I wanted lasagna and it was ao good. Cheese and sauce and meat inperfect contrast to each other. The garlic toast is soft where it needs to be and crunchy where it counts! Love it all! We are probably the only couple in Portland who hasn't sauntered into Bruno's for a weeknight dinner. We decided to give it a... try because our kitchen is being renovated and Bruno's is always packed! Authentic Italian food that was very tasty and generousportions and quick service from our attentive waiter. We liked that there were also lighter foods available. I hadn?t been in a few years. Their Alfredo used to be my favorite. Went tonight and the fried ravioli tasted and had the... consistency as if it were 3 days old and heated up in a microwave. My partner said his chicken parm was okay, but my chickenbroccoli Alfredo was absolutely flavorless. Jar Alfredo 100% has more flavor. (The chunks of chicken were also questionable) Itreally is a shame for $91. Has gone down hill tremendously. Giving it 2 stars because our server was great. Read more
Absolutely amazing location. Not only did the food come out unbelievably quick, but the aroma and taste are superb! It was... fairly priced for a fine dining Italian restaurant. Service is also exceptional. I highly recommend a visit on any occasion. Read more
Pros: ambiance is nice, service was pretty good. My husband liked his veal parmigiana. Cons: unfortunately the food was... flavorless. I had the seafood stuffed haddock but the seafood stuffing had essentially no flavor after it was drowned in thebutter under the fish. Calamari was pretty tough and no flavor in the batter whatsoever. For 88 dollars, this was a ratherdisappointing dinner. Read more
Better than the best. This is where you go for authentic quality Italian food in the greater Portland area. The split between... the bar & restaurant side is a nice touch so you're not trying to yell at people across the table. Hands down the best food spotin P-town. Read more
