I DO NOT Recommend the 22510 Hwy 59 Porter location. To preface, Noone was even at the counter when I walked up to place my... order? I had to walk next door to get someone there to notify the Dickey?s people they had a customer. When the Dickey?s youngman finally arrived at the counter he was rude, abrupt and not very helpful. I ordered the 2-meat plate at $15.50 with 2 sidesand a roll. I was Extremely disappointed when I received 2scrawny ribs with very little beef (mostly ALL bone!) and they werenot very good at all. The sausage was good there just wasn?t enough of it for $15.50. I expect to pay a little more for BBQ, Iunderstand enough about the market to know I?m going to inevitably pay more for BBQ when I dine out. But I also Expect MORE whenI order BBQ in Texas. The food is good if you can get the staff to serve you. I have 30 minutes for lunch and work very close-by so I came here. The... people behind the counter didn't acknowledge me at all. they didn't even look up, after I waited for 5 minutes. It was 11:30 on9/23/22 and no one else was in line or waiting. Dont go there!!! Its the worst bbq ever!!! First, they didn't give us a big potato, like in other locations, they gave us 2... small potatoes and cold ones too. The butter didn't even mealt. The potatoes were not soft either, needing more cooking. Themeat horrible, big pieces of fat in rhe meat, horrible place! And the soda machine did not work, only two flavors orange andsprite. We went last week because we had a coupon for 'Buy A 3 Meat Plate & 2 Big Yellow Cup Drinks & Get A 3 Meat Plate Free'. We were... VERY DISAPPOINTED to say the least. It was $27.07. I ordered sliced & chopped brisket & burnt ends with green beans & mac &cheese. My husband ordered sliced & chopped brisket & kielbasa sausage with BBQ beans & okra. Well, he actually had to have thespicy sausage because they were out of the regular. I apparently got the last of the mac & cheese bcuz the next person was toldthey were out. They were also out of most other sides as they were baking them. They were also out of all the sauces exceptspicy. Their 'dinner roll' is a mini ciabata bread (tiny). They don't have drinks there, you have to go to the store that'sconnected; & they were out of all diet sodas. As far as the serving size, 3oz of each meat, not very much. You get 4oz of meatif you get a sandwich. My burnt ends were all meat & no fat or marbled meat. All of the brisket was extremely dry. I lovebrisket & this was not good brisket. Very disappointed in the food we paid for. Have to say we won't be back with/without acoupon. We'll make the drive to Pappas in Humble next time. Here's pics of what we received. I placed an online order for a giant baker with meat. It did not say they were out of potatoes. I paid for the order and when I... went to pick it up I was told they had no potatoes. I am still waiting for them to refund my money. Do not go here. I suggestgoing to the location off Northpark. I had no issues there and my food was ready on time. Read more
Eaten here a few times over the years, and its usually pretty good for 'fast food bbq'. Tonight was terrible. Service was... good, but 1/2 of my 3 meat plate i shared with my daughter was inedible. The chicken was like sawing through wood, the pulledpork was a glob of grease which left a large pool of grease in my to-go box, and the brisket was part meat part shoe leather. The roll was a small brick instead of its usual fluffiness as well. For 20 bucks out the door with a drink, it's extremelydisappointing that i couldnt even eat half my meal because the food was such poor wuality this time. At least the 2 guys servingwere cool. We ordered from Uber eats. Expectations weren't high, but still ended up really disappointed. 2 meat plate was 2 ribs, burnt... ends was two cubes. Food was not good at all, I think a person attempting to smoke a brisket or pork ribs for the first timewould do a better job. First and last time eating here. Read more
