It's been awhile since I ate here, since before they closed for a while. In fairness we had a large group, but this made... ordering from the app a real pain. The selection of the lower priced items has been cut down to just a few items. Beyond thehassle of ordering from the app, and having to pay extra for any sauce, the order was fresh, and it was correct. Food was decent, not as good as back in the day but decent. My main concern was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors... were very sticky, and the bathroom looked like no one had attempted to clean it in months. Read more
Drive thru staff member was nice. Answered all of my concerns. My fries were cold the bag was poorly loaded. We had 2 number 2.... Food taste okay. Very different taste since the Portage store reopened. I pray ???????? they get it together soon. Read more
First time back to steak and shake since it reopened. We will NOT be back. If you want a super super thin burger that they... forget the lettuce, tomato and onion on (even though you ordered it on your burger), untoasted Frisco Melt and a butterfingershake minus the butterfinger, then this is the spot for you! The little specks you see in the ?butterfinger? shake are from thetopping they put on the whip cream. Read more
This is no longer our normal steak and shake. You go to a kiosk, order what you want, they call your number and you pick it up.... You have to do the same if you want extra ketchup, mustard, mayo. Good luck getting a shake. Read more
Took Mom out for dinner, hadn't been to steak and shake in a minute so that's where I went and now you don't even sit down and... order you do it on a computer yourself when you walk in that' can't be good Read more
First time in since the reopen, and was not expecting self service. No one at the counter to greet us or tell us to use the... kiosk, had a older gentlemen inform us on how to order. Menue was greatly cut down, no salad options. Just burger/melts, chili &deep fried choices. After ordering you wait for your number to be called. My bun was cold buy at least the fries were hot. Nocondiments on tables or napkins. You have to ask at the counter & they'll only give you two packets. Tables & seats were dirty.Had to wipe off a table before sitting down. Awful service! Waited 30 minutes after we placed our order at the kiosk before we went up to the one and only person we saw... working there and they hadn't even started on our food. They said they were super busy, only one other couple were in the placeand the drive thru had maybe 3 cars. Read more
