Had the privilege of having dinner here with some fellow Port Washington foodie moms in tow! A husband and wife team owned and... operated neighborhood hidden gem, the wife is a classically French technique trained chef and the husband takes care of foh andmakes the most incredible selections of well balanced and truly delicious cocktails. The menu is a bit of French, bit of otherthings and all heart. The chef's passion and love for food really shines in every dish we tried this night. Nothing was underseasoned nor over seasoned nor over cooked nor undercooked. Beautifully plated and well timed so that we never felt rushed fromthe first course to the last. To begin our evening we began with aromatic empanadas, crunchy yet tender blistered shishitopeppers, tender stuffed mushrooms and creamy shrimp & grits. All just masterfully prepared and plated. For our entrees we hadthe best Moroccan chicken "tangine style" ever, the most unctuous boneless braised short ribs and perfectly grilled New Zealandlamb chops and I needed to try the mushroom risotto as well. We literally had to stop ourselves from licking the plates clean!Of course ordered a trio of desserts and I have to say the apple cake was the star. I love discovering restaurants like thesein little towns all over the world. This one is definitely a worthy visit on the LIRR from the city for those who do not drive. Read more
