We were amazed by this place, having our first time here. Visit just for the nostalgic gift shop and some ice cream if nothing... else. Do enjoy the great food and friendly service! I got the southwest burger, coleslaw, and fries, and all were fantastic! The coleslaw in particular stood out to me: fresh and... crunchy. Service was friendly and fast. We didn?t have to wait long for our food at all, and it was well worth the stop on ourway up to NY. Read more

Very good ,retro, blue highway style,roadside, rest stop. Circa 1960s. All day breakfasts, with fresh eggs, real grits, country... ham, great root beer floats, huge club sandwiches, real potato chips (cooked/fried) there. There's burgers, hot dogs, friedchicken, fries, floats, pies, sundaes, banana splits, a gift shop and gas station. . Diner -like ambiance.. Super cleanbathrooms. Service and food is very good. Traveling from South Carolina to New Jersey, we went route 301 instead of RT 95 from Richmond through Baltimore. There were the... typical fast food places but we were looking for a Mom/Pop place. We found it in Horne's restaurant. During this omicron phaseof COVID, all workers wore masks. The place does great business among locals and travelers. Our food of choice was asouthwestern burger and a cheese steak - both delicious. I wish I had room for a pie or a wonderful selection of flavored milkshakes ???? Read more
Nice variety of overpriced novelties right as you enter and at checkout. Our waitress, Cindy, was not having a good day, forgot... to take our order, was texting on her phone and talking to an off-the-clock co-worker, and then forgot to put our order in, butshe did give us 10% off. ??????? Overall, the food was pretty good, but on the pricey side. I liked the family-feel environment. Read more
Delicious!! It was really cool how they sold all sorts of things, and the food was great. I got a milkshake and Mac and cheese,... and they were super good. They have a really cool themed eating area, I would recommend checking this place out as a fun stop ona road trip! Read more
