THEY HAD NO STAFF.. They discontinued restaurant menus.. Everything is on computer.. Computer problems it took 15 minutes to... order with help of the manager / cook.. He had to clear it 3 times and get a calculator to make sure the price was right.. Onlyone terminal in the store takes cash.. They have no cash register....They prefer you use a credit or debit card... other thanthe manager the only other employee in the store was a huge Amazon wearing a black mask with a nasty attitude standing at thefront door like a bouncer... It's not the same anymore, I understand the changes but I just don't feel the same way anymore about it. They took away chicken... tenders and cherry limeade and it's just not that homey diner feel anymore. The one girl they had on the floor was awesomethough... She was bringing trays out, grabbing empty trays, keeping tables clean and I even seen her in the back cooking when wewere leaving! Don't remember her name because like I said it's no longer personable to me anymore but she was definitely doingher thing, so respect to her because someone has to do it. Read more

Wow. This was a togo order. For the prices that we pay. You would think they would cook the food. My hamburger was cold the... burger buns had blood on them from the pattie not being cooked all the way.. The only think I could eat was the fried onions andstawberry shake. Our favorite place to go. Simple and good food. I hate the fries. But love the burgers. I always get the garlic and a sweet tea... (though they are light on the sugar so it's more like half and half tea). Staff is friendly albeit a tiny bit intrusive. We haveto order on a kiosk yet get asked three different people if we are alright or need anything, so that's odd why not let them takeour order? Read more

Boy! Times have changed SteaknShake! A wait staff employee greeted us at the door and directed us to one of 3 kiosks to order... for carry out or dine in. We were dining in, so after placing and paying for our order, we sat in a booth to await our order.Yes, we did add 15% tip for table service. We did not tip our usual 20% since we placed our own order and we will be gettingour own refills on drinks. We got our own food order. Our name was called and Husband got our order on a tray. He got his owndrink, and catsup for the fries. ?I didn?t know this had turned into a Wendy?s,? he said when he sat down with good and drink.Maybe we should get our tip back. Or the chef should get part of it. I just wanted water, but there was no place on the kioskmenu to add it. So I brought in my jug of water from home. The burger was good, and the fries were good, too. I miss thepersonal attention. But we did order from their value menu, and we got our money?s worth. Read more

It's not like it used to be. I brought my child there to show him my fave place as a kid. The waitress pointed at a kiosk and... told me to order there then turned her back. I fumbled through, figured it out and gave a decent tip. The next people came inand she walked over to the kiosk and rang up their order with a smile. Meanwhile I was still trying to grab my receipt which I'dbeen crowded away from and the waitress totally ignored me. Finally, one of the other customers appologize and grabbed it forme. When our food was ready she called me to get my food and I politely walked over to get it. We were pleasant the whole time. But I couldn't help but notice everybody else that came in she brought their food to their table. Even to an employee who hadjust clocked out. My child and I got no service, no straws, plastic in my burger and and my son's fries were ice cold. I didn'tcomplain I just won't be back. I've been patient because Covid hurt a lot of businesses. But this last visit was not in any formacceptable. I'm a really nice, laid back person. My son is well behaved and polite. There was no reason. Read more

Food is always fresh. Employees are always nice. Tables need to be cleaned a lil better considering there is no longer a wait... staff, the person to come and take your order for you on the self serve kiosk should walk around and wipe things down moreoften. But, the food is still good. Read more

So excited that the dinning room was open (10am - 11pm) and newly remodeled on Wednesday April 14, 2021. Enjoy the original 50's... theme (great memories) and modern style came together nicely. Kiosk machines, fountain station, with the red, black and whitetheme and back to the basic menu "steak n shake" and the under $4 menu so reasonable.
