I used to shop at Thrifty's ages ago, but this is the first time since the Sobeys buy out...nothing was worth it, and prices... were absolutely NUTS. Read more

Lots of variety and well laid out. Some items are pricier than other Grocery stores in the local area.

Service is good. I find their produce to be overpriced but they have one of the best meat departments in the Tri-City area

Excellent bakery! Lots of options for fresh cookies and treats, plus I really appreciate the year-round hot crossed buns and the... cakes that are made of 4 different cakes assembled so you can have options for picky dinner guests. The produce section is alsogreat, with a lot of beautifully arranged varieties you can't get elsewhere. I also appreciate the clean bathrooms. All thatbeing said though, we no longer go to this location because the staff seem unhappy and the customers are consistently andunmistakably miserable. I don't know what to make of it, but we've never been to a grocery store that has such a reliably sourclientele. Anytime you stop to browse a section, another customer briskly sidles up VERY CLOSE besides you or behind you, impatiently tapping their toes and glaring until you finish, or reaching aggressively in front of you for the item theydesperately need at that exact second. Seriously, the last time my wife and I went it happened to both of us 4 times within thefirst 5 minutes of being there! And I don't like to dawdle, either, but apparently I can never be fast enough to please theothers. Our theory is, because the store is at the bottom of a bunch of residential towers, it's mostly patronized by residentswho know what they want and are in a hurry to keep to their daily schedule, which would explain why they are all single, joyless, and think they own the place. So it's not really Thrifty's fault, but it's also a good enough reason to never go thereagain. Thanks for reading! Read more

Thriftys has the best meat and seafood department of any grocery chain in the lower mainland, bar none. They have well trained... butchers on staff, and offer premium proteins at very reasonable prices. Produce and bakery are also fantastic quality. I oftencall ahead for custom cuts, and I haven't been disappointed once. Pantry items are pricier than typical, but that's to beexpected given the nicer shopping environment and their focus on stocking local suppliers. I find most grocery stores to be astressful place. Thriftys is a pleasant place to be. Read more

A great local grocery store. Yes, it can be pricy, but the staples like their fruit and vegetables are always top quality. They... also have a great bakery and deli. Well worth coming to for a quick lunch or your weekly shop. Read more

Nice place to get yummy muffins, cakes, fresh fruits and veggies. Located in a very beautiful area in Port Moody. Sometimes you... can find very good deals on pastries and fruits there. It is not an ideal place to buy meats, seasoning and sauces here becauseprices are pretty higher compared to other places! Read more
