Reviews for Joe's Oyster Bar in Port Isabel, TX
Drove directly here after our fishing expedition with Breakaway Cruises. Joe's fried up our fresh caught red snapper throats.... Had never had them before so didn't know what to expect but loved them! Didn't know there would be so much to eat so had ordereda fried shrimp dinner as well. It was more than the two of us could eat! The restaurant is consistently busy and all the serverswere extremely courteous and helpful. Would definitely come back! Read more
Joe's Oyster Bar was recommended to us by the captain of one of the boats at Breakaway Cruises. We went out on a deep sea... fishing charter and returned with 8 large red snappers. We brought in the freshly, caught fish and Joe's cooked it toperfection. Hands down the BEST fish I've ever had. We had a whole fish fried and then half of our filets grilled & the otherhalf blackened. The food was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food amazing but so was everyone that worked there. Everyonewas so kind, attentive and really made you feel like you were the only person there. I would recommend Joe's to everyone!!!! Read more

Had always heard good things about this restaurant and finally tried it for myself tonight! The food tasted authentic and the... batter used was not over powering. I ordered the combo fried shrimp and fish with French fries and Cole slaw and a roll.Friendly staff and good variety of food items to chose from. The restaurant is also part store so you can buy fresh seafood togo or snacks for the road.???????? Read more
Everything on the menu is superb. Seafood is fresh! Great portions at reasonable prices. The micheladas are really good too. The... Mexican Shrimp cocktail is a family favorite. The onions rings are delicious. Their coleslaw is the best I?ve ever had. The?Nathan?s Special? is a great way to start if it?s your first time. Great customer and very cold drinks! If I could eat hereevery weekend, I would! Read more
Great little hole in the wall seafood place. Cheaper than Blackbeard's to bring your own catch. Only thing I can really say is... that they use more bread stuffing in their stuffed crab than I like. Needs more crab in it. The soup was great and the friedplatter was delicious. Read more
Getting in with a wheelchair requires going around through the back door. The guy will come out and make that happen. Seating is... plentiful and service is very good. The menu will be easy to read and easy on your pocketbook. Food served with plastic fork andsuch, but don't let that fool you; it's fantastic. Read more
