The food here was really good, it was clean, and service was acceptable. However, prices are pretty high, the meals don't always... include what they say they do (fewer sides, etc.), and they charge non-cash payment fees. We were a group of 12, and theyrefused to seat us together and then still charged our 4-seat table the 20% mandatory gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Let's start with the positives - the tuna tostadas were great! The sashimi and drum Pontchartrain dinner entree were delicious.... However, the sashimi platter came out without ginger and when we asked for some, we were charged for it. The happy hour drinkprices were different online than on the paper menu and although the waitress said she'd adjust it, the bill came back higherthan the second time around. NOTE: they charge a 3% fee for any non-cash payments. At least the soy sauce was complimentary????. Overall... there are better options on the island. Read more
My husband and I came here this evening to celebrate our Anniversary. We not only had the best waitress (Meredith) but every... item we ordered was a 10 out of 10 for timeliness, temperature, taste and even presentation! For those interested we tried thespicy tuna roll, Fried fish platter which consisted of shrimp, filet of fish, and oysters. We also ordered crab salad, a Caesarsalad, and calamari which included fried jalapeños and artichoke hearts. A definite return in our future! Read more
6/2022 - Understaffed making the overcrowded restaurant uncomfortable. We ordered 1/2 doz oysters on half shell @ $20, crab... salad, one sushi roll and SW eggrolls. My husband's Oysters came out after about 20 min, they were large. Then we sat and satand waited while 16 other people who came in AFTER us were served! About an hour in My crab salad (imatation crab over slicedcucumbers - not impressed) and roll came. Mention the others being served before us and was told all their food was fried so itcame from the kitchen. Even though there were 3, mind you three, people behind the sushi bar! My local guy could've handled theorders they were filling alone! They spent more time chatting it up with patrons at the bar than getting orderes filled. Thiswas not a good experience for us. Leaving frustrated, oh and the SW eggrolls never came! I felt bad for the waitress. Shefinally let the 3 behind sushi bar know she was getting complaints (with lots of drama) so one of them started putting plates ontables for new customers. Wow big help, not. Leaving we still wanted to visit the merchantile to shop. Downstairs we were toldit would be a "few minutes" because they had to get someone to open the store. They normally open upon request. What? Great place for Sushi for the family. The kids had the local favorite ?The Shaggy Dog Roll? and I had Oysters-on the half... shell, Salmon Sashimi, and Cucumber Crab Salad. We had Calamari for an appetizer. Fresh and Fantastic! Family of 5 cost $145+ $35 tip $180 ? a bit pricey, but it?s Spring Break so not shocking. We didn?t have any alcoholic beverages or dessert. I hadwater, kids had pop. We did get to keep our plastic cups as a souvenir so that was nice. The oysters were perfection. The waitstaff was attentive. The restaurant was clean. I would go back, just wish you would get a bit more for the money spent. Ifthat price had included a crab salad for everyone or a second appetizer, I would have scored it a 5. It could be inflation, idk? I?d rather give it a 4.5 if that were an option. Read more
We just tried Blue Water Cowboy and loved everything we had! The drinks are fun and unique and the menu has a lot of different... items. We tried both sushi and main menu items and all had great flavor, nothing was bland which can sometimes be a challengein Port A. We will definitely be going back! Read more
Excellent service. Very satisfied with our order and waiter. He made us laugh and fell like we were family. The food was... phenomenal from the first rounds to the second we were very happy despite the wait. (Waited less than an hour) it gets prettybusy. Beautiful rooftop seats facing the sunset. Great vibes, good food. We had the lobster pasta and the steak and shrimp. Both were very good. They had a great bartender with... really good cocktails. Just be aware the restaurant is on the third floor so be ready to walk up some steps. There is anelevator but it is hard to find your first time. All in all a great experience. I'll be back.????
