First time experiencing this location. We live 45 minutes away but decided to order when we arrived. Great atmosphere and I love... how we have the option to watch them prepare our food while wait for our carry out. My only negative is our wait time, wearrived at 12:45 and left at 2:30. Our order was fairly big which is why I'm not upset with our wait. We ordered the usual, curry goat and oxtail dinners. We also ordered jerk shrimp, pepper steak, shrimp rasta pasta, coco bread and reggae punch (whichI drank before I could take the pic of the beautiful drink). Definitely recommend! Read more

My first time experience was different but well worth it! The food was very authentic! Some of the best Jamaican food I?ve had... in a long time! 10 out of 10 on the food and drinks! They are short staffed and we had to order our food at the counter after wewere seated at our table . Friendly staff but very busy. Will order take out instead next time. Read more

I had been wanting to try Flavors of Jamaica for a long time and finally made the drive out to try the brunch! We ordered the... vegan Ackee saute with dumplings, vegan waffle and fried cauliflower, and vegan mushrooms and grits. It did take a while toget our food,, but that didn't bother us much. When our food came out, we were riding a Rollercoaster of emotions. The foodlooked beautiful, but our water and Sorrel tea came in plastic cups, and our food came in metal to go containers with plasticforks. My partner and I work hard to minimize our plastic consumption - we never order to go food because of all thewaste. Once I worked past my disappointment that our food came out in trash, I tried the food and thought it was prettyincredible. I loved that they gave me plenty of maple syrup, and the maple syrup even had spices in it. The mushrooms andgrits was wholesome. But the ackee was the winner for sure - I've never tasted vegetables like that before, and the dumplingswere *so good*, more like fried bread than a dumpling. I dipped them into the maple syrup that came with my waffles andcauliflower. I thought everything was delicious, flavorful, and unique. My partner didn't like it as much as me because thefood is greasy, so something to consider if you don't like greasy food. I would love to go back to taste more of the vegandishes. Though I doubt I'll return unless they switch to dishware... or if I'm really desperate, I guess I could bring my ownwater bottle and silverware to at least cut down on the waste a bit. Read more

Hands down the best Jamaican food I?ve ever had. I had the jerk chicken, with rice and beans, and Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese... is the greatest I?ve ever had. The spice of the jerk chicken is the absolute best. I live in Southgate and I?ll happily drivethe hour drive for this restaurant, it?s that great! My only issue is they forgot my plantains?they did not forget my plantainsbut rather they?re sold separately. The menu says it comes with it but they?re printing new menus. I?m back today 7/13, spent$30 & I didn?t have an issue about it because it?s that delicious. Hoping my second experience is as great as the 1st one. Read more
