We have eaten several times at Andiamo, and had good experiences. In the past, we have thought the food was good and our server... in the bar (Richard) was great and always made our experience special. This time was different, unfortunately. We decided tocome back to celebrate my sister’s birthday today. When we walked in with my elderly mother who doesn’t walk or stand well, the hostess answered the phone in front of us and proceeded to answer multiple questions into the phone while we stood in frontof her waiting for a long time. She’s a young girl, and probably doesn’t know better, but someone should tell her that isreally not acceptable for a hostess to put off customers who are in person for someone on the phone. Once we were seated, ittook a really long time for us to be greeted and drink orders taken. Meanwhile, people around us were all being greeted. Ourserver was Charles, and while he was a nice guy, and we did leave him a 20% tip because we had mercy on him, and we were in agood mood, he was very very absent for most of our lunch. He forgot several things, didn’t fill drinks, and would completelydisappear for long periods of time. I was a server for many years and know that sometimes it’s a rough shift, and I neverassume that I know what might be going on in the back or in someone’s life. Like I said, we still tipped him well, but hecertainly didn’t earn it. We ended up canceling our dessert order because we had waited for it and a glass of wine for almost30 minutes. This was on top of waiting extended periods of time for everything else we had ordered. We chose Andiamo as a placeto spend a special occasion and we were very disappointed in our choice. We won’t make that choice again. We did not ask tospeak to the manager because she does not have a good reputation in the area (as mentioned in other reviews as well), and wedidn’t want to make a bad situation worse. I do hope she reads this review though. Her staff could use some training. Additio Read more

Placed an order in advance that took 40mins to get ready to later find out that the person behind the phone put the order wrong... (bare in mind the order is only two sandwiches and the place was not busy). Completely defeated the purpose of placing the orderin advance. Also the person didn’t know what was a San Pellegrino which is shocking considering this is an Italian restaurant.Restaurant didn’t try to make it up for all the wait time (total 1hr wait to get two paninis and a sparkling water). Lastly, when finally opening the bag with the food at the beach realized there were no napkins nor utensils to eat the salad that camewith it! Read more

There were 8 in our party with one 8 year old. We brought 2 bottles of wine with us but several of us had prosecco or cocktails... first. The calamari and meatball appetizers were very good. I was not as pleased with my seared tuna that was cut strangelyand my husband was not real happy with his clams and shrimp (both overcooked) on pasta. Frankly I cannot recall what othersordered but at least 2 others in our party were not overly fond of their food choices either. There are better choices for goodItalian food in the area. Read more

We had a very disappointing meal here. We waited over an hour to get our main courses and when it did finally arrive it was not... good to say the least. The linguine with clams tasted and looked terrible.it was bland, clams were not cleaned properly and itwas swimming in a clear liquid that did not look appealing. I sent it back which is something I rarely do, especially since Iwas starving. We asked to speak to the manager about waiting so long for our food and she was point blank rude, I actually wasshocked by her manner. She disputed what time we arrived, we said it was 6pm and she said it was 6.15pm. Did it really make adifference when it was still an hour later when we received our food???? No apologies, nothing, she said they were busy. This isthe first time I have written a bad review as I understand restaurants can have bad nights. What annoyed me the most was how itwas handled, no sincerity, no acknowledgment.no apology, nothing. Personally I would not recommend this restaurant whatsoever. Read more

We love to explore new restaurants that we have never been in. We decided to try Caffe Andiamo in PV. WOW! I guess they did... not need our business because the hostess was extremely rude. We walked in and said we mentioned that we did not havereservations and she quickly said that they did not take reservations. We said ok, we can see if they had bar seating and shequickly said no. I mean WOW! The restaurant was not full and the outside was empty. Was not accommodating at all. Extremelydisappointed and will not ever go back. We would have dined in for dinner and we would have spent more than $100+! Read more

I have been going Cafe Andiamo for a long time. In fact that shopping plaza had only a few stores and the restaurant the first... time. My wife and I have never had a bad meal here. I’m Italian and from New York so you can say I have a pretty good ideawhat good Italian food looks, tastes, and smells like. We usually have dinner and drinks then take home a pizza for the next daysince we ljve 45 minutes away. The pasta is homemade and they use fresh ingredients. The seafood and fish are excellent. Theowner is from Italy so this is authentic! Just as another person said, if you’re used to imitation Italian food this is notit!! It’s the real thing! Read more

This Salerno dish is terrific…Melanzane Gamberi Eggplant, shrimp, marinara, pennette pasta, and provolone cheese The sauce was... rich and delicious, the pasta al dente, and the shrimp not over cooked!!! I take off one star because the hostess never smiledand the waiter could have been more helpful.. when I asked for recommendations, he said all was good. The price was high for alunch dish, so you do expect a premium experience. I highly recommend the bread as well. Will be back! Read more
