The family and I went to this establishment for the first time looking for ice cream. It's a gem. They sell all kinds of... flavors. I tried the guava cheesecake and it was amazing, my wife had the salty caramel peanut and it was better. Great place.Will come back to try the BBQ side and then have another ice cream. Read more
This place has AMAZING food and such a gem tucked away in this little area. We had a party of 7 and they were so accommodating... to allow us to split the bill as we liked. My husband ordered BBQ quesadillas and I ordered the couch potato without the sweetsauce (which is a bbq sauce and I preferred to add the jalapeno bbq instead). My husband heard about this place from a co worker, so we had to try it out. We dined it. Food was given to us within 15... minutes which is crazy fast. Each kids meals had a great portion of pulled pork. My husbands sandwich was huge too & the porktasted so good you really didn?t even need bbq. These were my nachos. I was shocked, just for 10.99? Really nice place, people and great great food. We did a catering take-out - definitely worth ordering ahead, they get really... busy for take-out. We had pounds of meat: brisket, pork and chicken all tasted excellent - you hardly need the sauce for flavor!The queso was the only thing that didn't quite make the cut with our pallets - and we must return to try the banana pudding! The barbecue is incredible. The portion size is enormous. I can't believe how much food we received at a very reasonable price.... After leaving Clearwater beach and heading back to Orlando we were looking for a good barbecue joint along the way. We found... this little gem which is in Polk City, and we were so glad that we stopped. The combo plate was huge and piled high withbeef, pork, chicken, ribs and sausage along with 2 sides...a great options if you like a variety. On each table are 4 sauces tocustomize the meats and the Carolina sauce was the bomb. Loved the quaint atmosphere here too, it was very homey andcomfortable. Another great benefit was the little ice cream shop located conveniently next door if there is room left in yourbelly (always room for ice cream). This town was so beautiful and green that we that we opted to drive the backroads from hereto Orlando, and although it took a little longer to reach our destination it was well worth it to savor the scenery along theway.
