Delicious! Great fresh seafood experience on the jersey shore. We went on a Saturday night without reservations when they were... very busy but we were still served within a reasonable time and the food came out quickly as well. Wish I could return to trythe rest of the menu! Oh and another plus, it's BYOB. Prices were very reasonable as well. Read more
Had an absolutely wonderful meal here and can't believe I've waited so long to visit. Can't wait until I can get... back! Everything we ordered was delicious and although the blackened Tuna bites weren't what I thought they were going to bethey were still good. Ordered 6 meals for pickup. The blackened seafood trio was a joke. 3 cold scallops, 3 shrimp, and about 3 ounces of some type of... white fish on top of rice in a french fry container. All contained in a cardboard clam shell container. The rice was crunchy.Shrimp was probably top 10 worst I?ve had. Lobster rolls and fried fish taco?s were ?ok? when I asked the other people I waseating with. Mac and cheese was ?gross.? While waiting for the order, seemed like 1/2 the fish in the counter was ?farm raised?or not from around here. Stumbled upon Point Lobster Company during a recent trip to the Jersey Shore when it was unseasonably warm on a Sunday... afternoon in early November. When in areas I'm not familiar with, often rely on reviews in making my decision. In this case,reviews were spot on. The menu had a decent selection of items to pick from and most importantly, had a Lobster Roll i washankering. We ordered the Calamari, Lobster Roll Platter (Lobster simmered in butter, served with fries and coleslaw) and theCoconut Shrimp platter (served with coleslaw and substituted fries with the seasoned bliss potatoes.) A small hiccup was theCalamari was served with the meal. While not listed as an appatizer, I may have assumed it was an appatizer, where on then memenu it is listed as small bites. So I really can't hold this against them accountable in my rating. All in all, service wasgood, servers were friendly, and the food was tasty. I was very satisfied with my Lobster Roll meal which had a decent servingof Lobster in it. I did enjoy the calamari, but kicked it up a notch with the sauce that cake with the coconut shrimp. Whendown in Point Pleasant, will definitely stop in again. We lucked out being able to get a table as soon as we walked in. Iwould imagine during the summer, it may not be so easy. Read more
