While it's not for everyone I've always loved coming here to get personal work done at the cafe. The stores book selection and... many sections are huge and they have a pretty great Media/Music section as well as Toys for kids of all ages, figurines andcollectibles, an expansive manga/comic area, and even a whole wing of the store dedicated to just the kids stuff. I have shopped Barnes & Noble for years for all sorts of books and I look for other items that they may have for sale. They are... not just a book store. They have many items, such as maps, toys, gift items, magazines and a cafe, etc. and etc. You will findBarnes & Noble in the Metroplex Mall. Read more

Wanted to get some computer work done, but the cafe has no electric outlets. Also the noise from the HVAC and whatever else is... in the cafe is not conducive to concentration. Nice book store otherwise. Read more

Barnes and Noble We have been looking for a special book and after calling around, located a signed copy at the local Barnes... and Noble. Years ago, I spent quite a bit of time at the local Barnes and Noble. My wife asked me if I wanted to take a driveand I thought, why not? The customer service person had put a signed copy of a best seller on hold for me? and my wife wantedthis book.  When we arrived I was taken by how large this Barnes and Noble actually is?I had forgotten just how big abookstore can be? it looked like a museum. I?ll be the first to order on the Big A, but nothing beats the experience ofexploring the local Barnes and Noble. The representative behind the counter was friendly, professional, had a smile on herface, and very pleasant to deal with. She made sure to let us know that the purchase rewarded us with a buy one get one freecookie coupon with our receipt. What I?ve always loved about B&N is not just the books, but the chance to have coffee, a snackand review a book or magazine before purchasing. Each person was very personable and made several recommendations - try thetoffee cookie with white chocolate and macadamia nut. We arrived pretty late and knew we had a long drive home in the rain, sowe didn?t stay but will be back when we have more time. I forgot how much we enjoy - and miss -the traditional, localbookstore. What we missed so much, besides the wonderful and wide book selection, is the warmth you feel when you walk throughthe door. You?re made to feel like you belong there, and there?s so much to to see. There?s still a place you can go to grab abook or two, pull up a chair with a beverage, and always feel welcome. Read more
