Was passing by and saw this place. Food on people?s tables looked attractive so decided to have our dinner at Oyo. Liked super... quick service even though restaurant was pretty loaded. My salad and cocktail were delicious. Will be happy to come here onemore time (or even more times) Read more

Curry goat is pretty good, and the spiciness gives a nice kick. Oxtail stew is ok but not impressive, personally feel it may be... a bit too sweet and too much herbs for me. Banana bread feels homemade and surprisingly good with ice cream and pineapple juice.Service is fast and good. Overall an good experience to South America cuisine and would recommend! Read more

This place utterly amazing and im sure i cant adequately describe it, but I will try to put it's awesomeness into words. First,... the decor is absolutely amazing and gorgeous. From the hand painted mural of South America and Central America, with an emphasison the owners home country of Guyana. To the hand painted mural of the owners grandmother and lilypad pond. Then there are thehand carved glazed redwood tables on the outdoor patio area and the solid wood bar, lined with the finest spirits. The Jive Barmenu boasts a collection of tropical drinks that I've never heard of before, so I had to try a few ????....and I was notdisappointed. They were all delicious, with exotic flavor profiles. Now let's get to the real business......the food anddesserts, both are to die for. Every bite took me to a new level of happiness. I'm only in town for a week, but I will probablyeat here every single day until I leave....and then eagerly plan my next trip back to Pleasanton. Read more

My father's from Guyana, so I thought this would be a great place to take him and it was. The food and drinks were great! The... live music was on point. My server could have been better, especially with attentiveness. He literally disappeared for so longwhile the other tables were being tended to regularly by other servers. Overall, it's still a solid place that I'd return to andrecommend to others. Ambiance:4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall: 4.6/5 Read more

Oyo was a unique experience; overall, the food was flavorful and different. We waited a bit to be seated outside but ordered... multiple items that were delivered in a timely manner. We ordered the shrimp and the doubles as an appetizer- that were bothdifferent from each other but tasted good. The entrees were pork shoulder, jerk chicken, curry goat, and pepper pot (picsattached). Out of the items, I would say curry goat and jerk chicken were my top. It's for sure a place to check out! We had our daughter's 25th birthday at Oyo's on a Friday evening. It was very busy, but they let my husband come in early to... decorate & they put the birthday cake in the refrigerator until the end of dinner. They waited patiently while we waited for theguest of honor to show. The entire staff was so accommodating & kind. We left a good tip. The food was very good. This is thesecond time we had a birthday at this restaurant. We chose it because of the vegetarian options they serve. Read more

I heard the paella was good but I got the Caribbean jerk chx tacos, which I thought were tasty but really oily. So much so that... I wanted to press each bite with a fork, leaving the oil behind on the tortilla. The flavor was there, but unfortunately so wasthe load of oil. The paella was said to be really good. Freshly cooked seafood always smells great. I tried the special becauseI heard somewhere that restaurant proprietors put time and thought into the specials. Went for lunchtime, they get busy. I?d goagain to try something for dinner. Read more
