We only had idli here. It was great the idlis were soft and chatnis were so tasty. The service was very friendly. They have a... good chaat gaadi right in front of the restaurant and the pani puri there was just awesome! Have to visit both the restaurantand the gaadi again! Read more

The biryani was okay .. their appetizers are generally on the spicy side. we had the pepper chicken which was decent. We went... there around 7:30 -8pm and they already had run out of their special - goat dum biryani. We then ordered ulvacharu goat biryaniwhich was decent however I didn?t care too much for the muglai chicken biryani. They also had a chat stall outside .. didn?t tryit though. Read more

AMARAVATHI HOUSE. No word can describe how wonderful the food is, how great the service is and how fantastic the inside of the... restaurant is. I even know the owner personally. He is the nicest man you will ever know. We get dine in AND takeout everydayFriday from Amaravathi House. We used to get the food from Biryani Pot and Paradise but now, it might look small but inside, itlooks like a grand palace, you are treated as if you are a king, and you get to eat like one too. I really don't know how elseto describe this amazing place other than these words I had just wrote. And don't worry, it's not too expensive.. Or not atall! And if you buy a lot of food, after eating, you'll probably even forget the price. XD P.S. If you ever find the desire toparty or have some function etc., Amaravathi House has that too. Calling all dosa fanatics in East Bay!!! If you are a dosa lover, this place is a must visit. The best Rava dosa I've... personally had in all of North America, the ultra-thin and crisp combination is what will bring us back when I visit the areaagain. I think you could also order the masala version of this which is another nice combination. Our table also orderedonion-chilli dosa, kaaram podi dosa, masala dosa which were all big hits too. Don't forget to ask for more of that superdelicious sambar which reminded me of what one would get in proper tiffin places in Tamil Nadu. We also ordered the chickentikka biryani, and this interesting twist on the standard chicken tikka did not disappoint. Everything was great taste andserved at perfect temperature. Read more
