NOT RECOMMENDED! I came to this Urban Plates at 12746-3 W Jefferson Blvd, Playa Vista, CA 90094 to eat one of their signature... meal "Chimichurri Steak". I ordered it with "Organic black beans El Rancho" and "House Salad with rustic bread". Total cost $20.I visited this restaurant two times. The amount of food compared to the total price was not justified. The steak slices wherefew and were served cold. The amount of garlic and salt on the steaks or in the green sauce on top of the steaks where way morethan expected! The garlic had totally overtaken the whole taste of the steaks. That sauce with so mush garlic in it, should haveat least been served at side and with less garlic. The amount of salt in the black beans was also way more than expected. Itwas very salty! God! I finally found a perfect spot where I can eat every day without getting bored of the food or getting frustrated with the... quality or feeling a back pain from uncomfortable chairs. Their $10 monthly pass is genius!!! I can have a new dish every dayjust for $11. I would always wonder why no place offers it. I?m so happy that I found this restaurant. And the food isfantastic, great portions very yummy very big sizes and healthy. Very nice ambience, which is also very important. Read more
I ordered the braised beef bowl with mashed potatoes and a piece of bread. Overall it was pretty good. It was a cold day and... this hit. The beef was pretty tender and I really liked the mushrooms in there. The sauce was a bit weirdly sweet which threw meoff. Really nice to sop up with the crusty bread tho. Love the staff, the quality of the food has majorly gone downhill lately, with rotten brown romaine lettuce being served and all... sorts of gross things. I was in the $10/meal club for a while but just cancelled it bc the last few months something haschanged, and I ate there 1-2x/week Just ate there for the last time this week, when we were served over cooked brown broccolini(see photos), which is an example of how there is always something off with each meal at this location. Ordered from Urban Plate while traveling for work because a lot of the reviews mentioned their gluten free options and I have... Celiac disease. I ordered steak with Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes (all gluten free) and the berry soda. Got the orderback to the hotel to find that I got steak, Broccoli, and Mac and cheese (which looks dry and box and IS NOT GLUTEN FREE) andlemonade. THEY EVEN GOT THE DRINK WRONG!!! I call and get ?sorry we?ll give you a refund? but I don?t think people get howhurtful this is. It?s hard enough to find food that?s safe and then you do and they don?t even bother to make sure you got theright food and it?s just sorry when I now have to go to bed hungry. ?Oh, so she got you protein right.
