Chad and his staff are amazing! We left an item behind after dining and I messaged them on their web page. I never dreamt in a... million years someone would respond to me. But they did!! We were in Platteville for a wedding and stayed at the hotel just down from County Kitchen. We decided to eat Sunday morning... before we left town. When we got there the lobby was full but not a long wait for a table. The hostess was also our waitressand very pleasant. We ordered our food and it took forever. We were not upset it was a bisy Sumday morning and no one hasadequate staff. But when we finally got our food it was ICE COLD!! We asked for the check to pay for our drinks and left. Ended up driving to Dubuque and eating at a great place. Don't waste time at Country Kitchen. Read more

We were on our way from Iowa to the Dells and needed lunch and my kids always love breakfast for lunch (or dinner, or breakfast,... or anytime really lol) so we stopped here. Employees were friendly, my burger was okay, not like super-duper totally amazing oranything, but it's a diner, not a burger joint. My son enjoyed his pancakes and fries (yes, I know, a little strange but itworked out because my two year old didn't end up eating anything we ordered for her so she only ate his fries but whatever Iguess, she was tired and had never been in the car this long), my mom got a half order of biscuits and gravy and enjoyed it. Easy to spot off of US 151 business in Platteville. Plenty of parking available. Easy entry. We were seated within minutes of... arriving; we were there early to mid afternoon. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My Reuben sandwich & fries weredelicious. Other members of of my party got the Big Bad Bacon Burger & the Chicken Wrap, both delicious as well. Our waitressKamryn was pleasant, efficient and attentive. I am only giving a 4 star for this review as I need to get clarification on theirpolicy using gift certificates. I had 6 $5 certificates I wanted to apply to my order and was told by the cashier that only onecould be applied. I am not very happy with that answer and will be speaking with a manager soon for clarification. No where onthe certificates does it state this policy. My date of visit was Friday, February 18, 2022. 03/28/22 Edit, and update. At lasta manager who actually reads these Google reviews! I was contacted by the manager at Country Kitchen with clarification on theusage of the gift certificates. I should have been able to apply all gift certificates to my bill on the initial visit.Apparently Country Kitchen had several new staff members unaware of proper procedures using gift certificates as payment.
