good average food, just above fast food. what bothers me is that the employee's are all spanish decent and they feel everyone... speaks spanish. i walk up to the counter to order and the woman just stats speaking spanish. when i said to her I do not speakspanish all i got was an ( oh you don't in a heavy accent, and the what you want then) wow! and the turns around said somethingto one of the other women, and the laughed. My fellow foodies, I've been attacking this place for years. Since they opened! 2-3 times a week. Never got sick. Never had... small portions. The 1/2 chicken with rice and black beans is my usual order. I get 2 meals out of it its so much food. Once anda while I get the Churasco. A HUGE peice of skirt steak! With rice and beans lol. Don't forget, to the left of the register isa sauce bar. Make sure to fill up 2 containers with the green stuff in the squeeze bottle. It's a garlic/scallions/vinegar sauceand will totally transform your life! It's not spicy. Man that stuff is the bomb!!!!!!! Love me some La Granja! Good food until you see all the fruit flies in the store. Literally flying around landing on food. They are noticeable. 3 trips... and each time it was the same situation. Would not recommend. Read more
Has it ever happened to you that a staff member makes a mistake. You realize it after you come home with your take out that you... got a different dish than you ordered. I was crazy about this place, but lately they have been slipping. My fish and shrimp have been burnt and it taste as if the... oil that the food was cooked in taste old, the chicken taste old and dry as well... this make me truly sad because this was oneof most favorite restaurants ???? (la Granja on sunrise and pine island) please go back to the old way of giving the sauces,you now have to ask for sauce and they are a dime size amount... this is No Bueno!! Read more
There are different options at different locations and this one offers both yellow rice and potato salad. I wish they all... offered this option! I thought they all did since I mostly eat at this one. Everything on the menu is enticing from the momentyou step in. The aromas make you crave a little bit of everything on screen. My favorite dish is the Seafood Rice. It's aperfect blend of bits of seafood that you can identify and taste in every bite. I've brought different members of my family hereand have all loved it entirely. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Lastly, dishes are served fresh andfast. I come nearly weekly! After visiting this location in Plantation off of Sunrise Blvd. I noticed numerous cockroaches running up the walls and near... the food of the kitchen. When I presented this to Maria, the manager, she wanted me to keep my voice down so no other customerswould see this. This place needs to be reported to the department of health.
