We went in for Ramen, and thought it was overall average. Yama looks to be a Sushi joint and would have to come back just for... the sushi. Service was attentive. The Eel over rice was not great. It was burnt a bit with little sauce to mask the taste. Itwasn?t such a pleasant. The ramen was the main reason to attend this place - chicken was alright, broth on the chicken ramenwas on point, and bamboo shot was decent. Overall a 3/5 on the ramen - the substitute for chicken over the pork was not the bestidea. The fried chicken was amazing, and love the sauce. Definitely delightful :). Read more
Been there multiple times, due to ?Customer Services? are most satisfying at this very place and this place don?t demand... customers for tips like other Yama restaurants. Logically oddly me, preferred eating Japanese food made by Japanese people, andthis is the one. Highly recommend this Yama restaurant over other Yama restaurants! We really like coming here to try a variety of things. Tonight we tried the skewers, soft shell crab, and shrimp tempura.... Everything was really tasty in its own way - spicy, fresh, etc. The staff is always really nice and the place has a really coolatmosphere. Read more
Been coming here for years, foods always delicious, wait staff is always kind, timely and suggestive. My go to late nights spot.... Atmosphere has traditional Japanese vibes. Not even a sushi fan, but I eat sushi here. The bar side is dimly lit and the musicis better on the bar side. All together, love this place. Read more

I was craving for some takoyaki and this place is open until 2am in the morning, which is great to grab some late night food. We... ordered takoyaki, fried soft shell crabs, fried squid legs, some skewers, and curry rice. The food is great, especially with ahot sake. Perfect for a cold night in Dallaska. I love the vibe here, very warm and cozy. Staffs are super attentive andfriendly. There are lots of options on their menu that you can choose from. I like this location. Food is good. We ordered Salmon sashimi (5 stars), Shishito (4 stars), Tonkatsu Ramen (5 stars), Wagyu on... the rocks (5 stars), Hawaii roll (3 stars), 3 of a kind Roll (3 stars). I expected more flavor or sauce on them--had to dip insoy sauce for flavor. Service is excellent! 5 stars. They do pick up trash and empty dishes from the table throughout, not justat the end.
