First time trying Lockhart. Best Sliced Brisket was very moist, light smoke. Would of liked a little more crust. The sausage was... very good also. Now the Spicy Mac&Cheese and the Lockhart Cole Slaw was spicy and very delicious. Everything was sold by MarketPrice, I would of preferred a plate 2 or 3 meat price like most places. I was a little shocked with the price but had to try thelocation. Everything was top tier cool interior. Looked like they had enough cliental to get those prices. Highly recommend totry the location. Got this to go and it was delicious! You must try the deviled eggs! The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Really good sides, I got potato salad and deviled eggs. The sauce was great, peach cobbler was amazing. Might be my fault in... choice of meat but the beef rib wasn?t that good for $45 a rib. I would like to return and try the brisket and sausage, but therub on the beef rib was very salty and some parts were in edible because of the saltyness. I did try several parts of theoutside crust but 65-70% of it was way to salty. Brisket had no seasoning, and was kinda dry even if the paper looked wet. Sausage was "odd". lol Burnt ends and spicy mac saved... the meal. I won't be going back. Read more
It was okay, nothing special, but not bad. Although they had "spicy Mac and cheese" listed as a special. We ordered some and... ended up with regular Mac and cheese, which has a bad taste and rubbery texture. Meat has good flavor. They only serve Pepsiproducts, so drinks from the bar are not great. Who orders a Jack and Pepsi, or a rum and Pepsi? We had the whole upstairsdining area to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon which was nice. Read more
It was okay. Would I recommend driving as far as we did for that? No. I found raw potatoes in my potato salad. Thats new. Never... heard or had that style. The ribs were good, but not fall off the bone good. They did have a fun bar atmosphere if you are intothat. Place was very fun decorated, and the staff was super friendly. Read more
I?ve been to most of the smoke houses in the north Dallas areas, and all of them have their strong points, Lockhart has many... strong points, I love their ribs, and brisket, the ribs are cooked to perfection not overly tender. I like my ribs to haveenough pull that when I bite I get only that mouthful, and it comes off the bone clean. Lockhart ribs do just that and have anexcellent smoked flavor, by far my favorite rib in the city so far! The brisket is smoky and flavorful with a tender pull andnot dry at all. I love the deviled eggs made with brisket, very unique! I also love their beans thick and smoky with a littleheat at the end, simply delicious . Lockhart smokehouse is one of my favorite places to get my BBQ fix!!!! Read more
As a TXBBQC (c for conniseur) I was skeptical of Lockharts as my experience at another location did not live up to the hype BUT... THIS ONE DOES! My trip here proved they were not all the same. This one was the best! I started with the Prime Rib which wasa special item and OMG it wins over all the rest. I put some pics of the menu as this is keto gluten free Heaven! TheirJalepeno Poppers are no joke. The server host was legit knowledgeable and down to earth. Helped with the bourbon selection. Astop by here will become a tradition whenever I am in this area.
