Reviews for Little Gus Cafe in Plano, TX
Overpriced. Way overpriced for what they serve. Gyro was congealed and salad was soggy. They charged me extra for sauce. $2.80... for Greek sauce and $2.80 for salsa. The sad meal I included was $16.50 after tax. If you look at the fork for scale, it was 4bites of meat. You can go to the Cheesecake Factory and get a good portion, high quality meal for that. I can’t take picturesof other peoples food but 2 eggs, a slice of ham, and soggy potatoes (again, got charged $2.80 for salsa which was not muchbetter than McDonald’s salsa packets, definitely store bought) was $16.50 after tax. The people ate, sad, low portion, lowquality food and it cost almost $60, thanks but no thanks. Never coming back. The fact that they charge $3 after tax for eachcondiment is outrageous. This is a minor note but they got my order wrong, didn’t include the sides they stated on the menu,no utensils or butter or ketchup or ANYTHING. Never coming back. Ever. Read more
So pleased I found this spot, thanks to other Google Reviewers, as it was a perfect spot to grab breakfast on an out of town... workday. All the breakfast was delicious; however, the potatoes were incredible!!! Order extra, simply to save you time, because you'll want more. I sat at the counter and Susie was delightful to talk to. I even had the opportunity to witness her& Gus engaging in a little energetic conversation about who's kitchen it is. It was fun! Check it out for sure and lovedseeing the "regs" strolling in. Was waiting to hear "Norm!" When someone walked in. Read more
Quaint little breakfast and lunch place in Plano. Their menu has American and Mediterranean options. We had the French Toast... and Breakfast Tacos. Nothing fancy, but great tasting food. You really get a family feel! Next time we will try their lunchmenu. Read more
I love to find a little hole in the wall. I was scrolling through Yelp and landed on some strawberry waffles. I made a plan to... get over and have some breakfast. It was in my area and had a friend to meet me there. Ugh, my friend was late but that gave mean opportunity to sip some coffee and check out the vibe of the cafe. It was really relaxed and down home. I could tell by theinteraction they have several regulars. They greet everyone so warmly and I really felt at home. The cafe bustled with customersthe whole time I was there. The food came out quickly even during what I could notice was a busy time. I read my book and hadstrawberry waffles on my mind. I'm tapping my food and hunger pains started to hit me. Finally, my party made it and we ordered. My friend had GYRO AND EGGS Two eggs any style, gyro meat, cucumber sauce, pan fires and choice of bread. Served with homemadepan fries. I was going to order just the waffle and some breakfast sausage. The server suggested to get the breakfast platewhich included half a waffle, 2 eggs and choice of breakfast meat. That's plenty for me. It was cost was cheaper. So much foodand it was all amazing. We stayed a while happy and full as I sipped more coffee. We even got to see Gus come out and speak tothe patrons. The only thing I would love them to make an adjustment is their venting system. We could literally get a lot of thesmoke and frying smells from the kitchen . The air vent system probably with the leasing company should get that corrected forthem. The cost to eat there is some economical. You can spend $20.00 or less and get your money's worth!!! Read more
Went to this cafe for lunch. It was my first time here. The cafe is cozy and they have seating arrangements outside of the cafe... as well. I had never tasted falafel, so I ordered falafel plate. My husband ordered vegetarian delight pita. Both the dishes aregood for vegetarians. The food was good and service was friendly. Read more
Finally we got back for a lunch on Sat. I think we were last here in 2015. Along with a crowd of boys from youth soccer team.... They were loud and hungry. We got the Sat lunch special of sandwich and lentil soup. Excellent food and service. Should get backhere more often but a lot of competition for share of our stomach in Collin county. Read more
We came here to grab lunch, my husband got their falafel sandwich and I got the tuna salad plate. We both enjoyed our food a... lot, I highly recommend it. The falafel is made with a mix of chick peas and fava beans which is really great and moist (not dryas the chick pea only ones are). The service was awesome, we briefly spoke to Gus, the owner, and the lady (I didn’t catch hername) at the front. Both are amazing people and we were very happy with the food. Highly recommend!
