The food and service was great and the hostess was so friendly. The only down side were the dirty tables, which would be an easy... clean up but there were no napkins until we received our food tray. The restrooms needed some help as well. But once we wipeeverything down, the food and great service really changed everything. Read more

I like to review tacos. I don't do cheesesteaks much. But I loved the atmosphere and wanted to share my experience. The... Cheesesteak was as good as I've had. The meet was tasty. The bread to cheese to meat ratio was great. If you wanted a meatieroption, they had it. I went with a fastball down the middle, regular Cheesesteak. My wife went with the one with more peppers.She loved it. The fries were okay. I got some chips they were good. I'm happy I didn't get the regular fries. The thin slicesfried potato "chips" were really good. They weren't all crispy which was nice. Overall I give Fred's Downtown Philly a 7.5 outof 10. Are you kidding me? Look at this sloppy trash. $60 in sandwiches and this is what I get. Ya'll are nasty and trashy. Paper... wrappers? The paper is so soggy and wet it's molded into the actual break and can't pick it out. It's the equivalent to droppingin water then wrapping it w tissue paper. Shoved and smooshed into 1 bag. I cannot believe all these reviews saying how good andbest in town. Poor Texans have no idea what a real philly or any sandwish for that matter should be like. They should beembarrassed. NEVER AGAIN. The only place I'll eat Philly cheesesteaks in the DFW area! I often get a chicken cheesesteak and can tell the chicken is made... from quality protein and cheesy goodness. Top it off with Fred's hot sauce, and a side of cajun fries is a must. So good! Read more
