Great food, cute restaurant, good service! Update: I decided to place a large order to serve 20+ people at my office job for... lunch. I initially inquired about catering and the owner Prisca reached out to me directly via text. She also answered all myquestions promptly, and they went out of their way to accomodate my order a little bit earlier than normal hours. The food wasready on-time and was fresh. A lot of the people had never had African food, and they loved it. The modern twist of Boxochopswas the perfect way to introduce my coworkers to a new cuisine. Many people couldn't wait to visit themselves and with theirfamilies. (FYI if you're wondering, for 20 people I ordered: 1/2 pan of Jollof Rice, 1/4 pan of White Rice, 6 Beef Kebabs, 6Chicken Kebabs, 6 Spring Rolls, 12 Medium Meat Pies, 1/4 pan of Plantains, and 30 Puff Puff - for our group it was the perfectamount of food). 10/10 experience. I stopped in a few days ago to pick up an order for delivery. The ambiance in the restaurant made me return the next day. I... purchased 2 meat patties, plantains and the chapman punch. I was so excited to try this place!!!! I grew up eating lots of Nigerian food so having a place in Plano where I could grab a... bite w friends and family is near and dear to my heart. ???? Walking in the restaurant was cute and clean with a beautifulaesthetic and a cool signing wall. The lady at the front was kind and welcoming and let us know that it?s family owned. I lovedthe feel of the place, I bought the hibiscus drink to sip on as I waited for my food (as someone who is picky I can tell you itwas perfect mix between sweet and spiced). Since I was buying for the family, I took my food to go. It smelled so good on theway home that it was so hard not to eat in the car ???? but I made it. My fam and I loved the jollof, egusi, pounded yam andfried plantains. The taste was good and traditional, you can def tell it?s a Nigerian mama back in there cooking up a storm.They give us good portions for the price too which I was happy about ! I was too busy getting to eating that I forgot to take apic of my main plate - but I included one of the Oreo puff puff which I also had to try! Great food! We ordered 2 deluxe boxes for 3 of us, which is a nice sampler to try the different options. We inhaled the 1st... deluxe box - it was so good. We took the 2nd box home for later because we were so full. I recommend calling ahead and placingan order because they cook everything fresh and it takes about 30minutes, but it?s well worth it.
