Menu for Bazaria Sweets, Frozen Yogurt & Gelato Cafe in Plano, TX

My husband and I first visited Bazaria during the early days of the pandemic. Then the storm hit in February 2021, the... restaurant lost power, and the pipes burst. The restaurant closed and remained closed for repairs for some time. We visitedlast night and it is beautiful again, featuring a wide variety of gelato (made on the premises), self-serve frozen yogurt, andKunafa. We sampled some of the amazing gelato but we were there for the Kunafa. If you?ve never tried Kunafa, it is asugar-soaked pastry common in the Middle East. At Bazaria, the Kunafa has a cheese filling and is topped with choppedpistachios. Delicious. A single portion is $7, baked to order. My photo shows my half after my husband ate his. During ourvisit, the vast majority of customers bought gelato. There are some amazing flavors; pistachio, fig and almond, and cookie(tastes like a macaroon). Somewhat surprisingly, there\'s plenty of good ice cream in this part of America, thanks to a chance blend of Middle Eastern and... Mediterranean influences. In this crowded landscape, this shop stands tall. It resides in an uninspiring strip mall, but offersa reliable and ever changing flow of unique gelato flavors: Italian (frutti di bosco, ferrero rocher), Arabic (mastic, Knafeh),and much in-between.
