Reviews for Amorino in Plano, TX
This is an amazing gelato ice cream place located in legacy west. The best thing I liked was they have a small portion as well.... The kids cone is also nice. Their choice of flavors is great as well. They offer you as many combination of flavors you want inone cup or cone. Will definitely go here again to try other flavors Read more
Below average experience! What is going on? Nobody is happy, cold personalities. I know it's a high volume location but smile to... the customer, be nice and communicate. Something like "Hello!!! Welcome to Amorino's! (Big smile) I see you have a Large cone, yayyy, You can choose one flavor or as many flavors you'd like but two or three fits Best!" is that so hard? Communicate withsmiles, be happy, enjoy your job. Customers really want to have a good enjoyable time and spend money here but if you don'twant and need it then another business wil l. A successful business can go right out of business really fast if the customerservice is bad. My party of 5 most likely will not return here the next time we visit the shops. Food feedback... The Gelato wasgood, it looked nice with three flavors, but the Hot Chocolate had zero sweetness and it looked dark and chunky, got a secondone and it was watery and foamy... so this means there is no consistency, someone doesn't know how to make drinks and is wingingit to get a paycheck, plus 3 to 5 people passed me up while I waited for this chocolate drink, that's how long it took them tomake it. I hope they properly get retrained on how to make the hot chocolate right! I'll be more than happy to return and giveit a retry later in the future and update the rating. Today we left unsatisfied. Great flavors. Unenthusiastic service. Terrible flow/layout. I mean, there is no structure in placing and receiving your order.... You pay first without even knowing what you want. The menu and flavor display are stationed where people are waiting for theirorders. Essentially, you have to cut the line and barge in front of people waiting for their orders to then go back in line andplace it. Any amount of increased traffic and it can get very, very confusing. C'mon guys, you need to fix your layout. Anyway, the gelato itself was very refreshing (mandarin ????) and it's definitely good quality. You can have 3-4 flavors in one cup. Butour server was passive dismissive and seemed dettached from basic customer experience. I should mention that the other severseemed much warmer and friendlier. Read more
The specialty of this place is the rose shape gelato that you experience. Definitely worth the try. There are multiple flavors... available and you would be lost picking one! The macros are also tasty and worth the buy. Read more
I am not in the habit of making claims, but being my first time in this place I am very disappointed. My son has a special... condition and the customer service should be better... we were with another family, the place alone and the vendors talking andignoring us. The only thing that makes me come back is the only nice and wonderful person who took care of us, a very gentleAsian girl. The rest of the place, even if it is very beautiful and its delicious ice cream, the image given by the otheremployees is very unpleasant Read more
Be warned that the line here frequently goes out the door and takes over 30 minutes to get through (even near closing) In... Amorino's defense, they run like a well oiled machine. It only took a couple minutes for me to pay and get my order once I madeit to the front. The 2 flavor tasting limit seems lame, but it's a necessity to keep the line moving. I had "the signature", arose shaped cone of three flavors with a macaron on top. It looked great for the photo, but immediately started melting in theTexas heat. There's hardly any seating inside, and the door is always open anyways because of the line. Read more
Horrible experience twice, I gave them a 2nd chance. Now this post needs to be written. I have always wanted to try Amorino, as... I am part Italian and love good gelato. Since Amorino is all over the world, I hoped it would taste like gelato in New York. Finally one day I walked in with my boyfriend. I was happy to see we were the only customers there so I went right to thecounter, excited to sample flavors. I was never greeted, because a moment later the employee?s friend walked in behind me. Theyhugged and talked, meanwhile I was completely ignored. What struck me most.. was she started giving samples to her friend, madeher a cone, and I was still ignored. Minutes later, I walked out. In shock and disappointment. I never said a word, because shewas outright rude and clearly didn?t care. Months later, on my birthday - May 12th, I decided to give it another try. I wascraving gelato and hoped it would be a different person at the counter. It was a weekday afternoon, again I was the onlycustomer. I told the person it would be my first time trying Amorino, and said I was excited to see the flower art. I was givenno greeting, no smile, and the person rang me up and asked what I wanted. I said I?d like to try the summer flavors.. advertisedoutside. The person rudely said I need to pay first and again asked what I wanted. I said that I didn?t know, until I sampled. Iwas confused. They seemed upset to be there and said again I need to pay first. I was so uncomfortable, I almost left. I thenstated that it?s my birthday and I was hoping to bring some cheer into my day. At this point, I simply asked for a flower withboth flavors advertised outside. I never tried anything and at this point didn?t want to. The person said ?oh happy birthday, sorry if I?m in a horrible mood today and the cone art will be messy? then slapped on the gelato. It looked nothing like aflower. If I didn?t already pay, I would?ve walked away. These are the most unfriendly people and instead of Read more
Their gelatos are amazing obviously! Stopped by today to try their hot chocolate.. it?s average I?d say, but felt good anyway... walking around with a cup of hot chocolate in a chilly afternoon. Also tried their macaroons, they are okay too. Read more
