A neighborhood hole-in-the-wall gem that absolutely needs to be protected at all costs. Prices are unbelievably low and... selection too of treats are incredibly vast. The shop is sandwiched between other local restaurants that are must-visits aswell. Abejita has a $5 minimum credit card limit, but when you swing by you?ll definitely leave with more than you were planningto get. We got some mini elotes, agua fresca, and an icecream cone. My wife likes coming here but my experiences are often bad. I always ask for fruit with yogurt and honey but 2 times out of 3,... they have some issue serving me. 1 time, they put coconut when I explicitly asked for no coconut. Got an attitude saying Ishould've asked. Maybe they should've paid attention. On another occasion, they said I could only choose from cucumber,pineapple, melons and jicama. Then they realized it was the wrong thing. The issue is that the employees are playing aroundtalking amongst themselves instead of paying attention to the orders and then get a negative attitude. What a nice treat to find. There is a reason this place is busy. Lots of good treats to eat. I had the banana nut chocolate ice... cream. I'm going to have to try their churros next time. Friendly staff helped me out because I don't know and spanish. Read more
