This place is a GEM!! My husband and I are obsessed! It takes us at least half an hour to get there and we happily do it. The... food is amazing with lots and lots of gluten free options. Jonathan sits there and patiently coaches you through the menu. Heanswers any questions and seems genuinely excited to talk to people. It's a cute little spot. My husband and I went to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon and this spot brings us right back to it. Read more

Took a little stroll to Plaistow, NH. Found a place called ?Cafe El Camino?. From Manchester is about 40 minutes, but if you?re... interested in Puerto Rican food that gives you that Nostalgic feeling from when you used to grow up In P.R., this place is greatto eat at and in my opinion the closest you can get to a home cooked meal. I had ordered a beef steak and onions with plantains, white rice and beans. Also ordered potato balls or rellenos de papá stuffed with meat but they didn?t last long and ate thembefore I even pulled out of the parking lot. I ordered my wife the traditional mofongo with carne Frita and even though she isDominican, this is one of her favorite Puerto Rican dishes. Food was delicious and reminded a lot of home. Thank you for thatgreat meal and I recommend it to anyone looking for really good tasting and beautifully presented Puerto Rican food. Read more

BEST PUERTO RICAN AND OVERALL SPANISH FOOD I?VE HAD HERE! I had the rice with gandules and it?s the best rice I?ve ever had. I... was able to try the white rice with beans as well and the beans were absolutely delicious! The carne frita was perfectly friedyet amazingly juice; and the crackling chicken was seasoned to perfection ! My taste buds are the happiest they?ve been since Igot to New Hampshire 2 months ago! Not to mention the service was impeccable. The owner made sure that we felt at home !Treating us to everything possible ! He was so, so sweet and personable it was unbelievable. I was extremely happy the wholetime I was there and comfortable ! If I could give it 10 stars I would ! It?s a MUST for all Spanish food lovers. Will be comingback often ???? I wish I would?ve taken more pictures of the food Read more

Not a good experience for my brother and me.. who serves a plate at a restaurant like this ? Rice was full of oil,, my brother... asked for Mayo catch up they said we don't have anymore? Until my brother found it in their soda refrigerator relationshipwithout my approval what restaurant tells you know instead of mixing two ingredients together and done... We received the platesnever received silverware my brother had to reach underneath their cash register to get our own silverware... the carne fritawas flooded with lime to mask being dry .. tostones was glued with salt ... look at the platino marduro. Pic says it all..I paid$28 for that at a drink that wouldn't even fill a To-go plate my brother paid 24 for carne frita that went in thegarbage...evern the bodegas in Lawrence do better then this for 1/2 the price. Best Spanish food I've had in years! So glad I found this place! Better than any restaurants I've been to in Lawrence and Lynn.... So impressed. Tastes like home made food I'd eat at a family members house. I loved it! Read more

From the moment we walked in it felt familiar and welcoming. The smells of home cooking instantly brought a smile to our face,... and a hunger for EVERYTHING! Cafe El Camino offers an array of authentic, traditional and savory Puerto Rican food with severalvegan and vegetarian options as well. The vegan mofongo was next level delicious. The vegetarian empanadas are amazing, but myabsolute favorite was the vegetable rice and salad with the housemade dressing. The portions are large and the service was likebeing en la casa de Abuela. Jonathan and Elizabeth were incredible hosts and chefs. Looking forward to our next visit. Read more

We were visiting MA. There's no good Puerto Rican food where we live. We searched for restaurants in the area but nothing... caught our eye until we saw the reviews and photos of this spot in NH, so I made the drive. This is a family owned businessmaking authentic Puerto Rican food, from scratch, on a daily basis. When I entered, 2 women were walking out with a big box oftake out food. There were people in and out to pick up orders. This is a good sign. I placed my order with Jonathan, one ofthe Chefs/co-owners. He had such a great personality. Very friendly and cordial. When I ordered my food he came out and gaveme a limeade he was working on to try. It was good. He then came out with a complimentary soup, Sopa Levanta Muertos. OMG itwas so good. It had bits of chicken, pork, steak and turkey. It was so flavorful. I ordered the Mofongo with Carne Frita. Itwas the best Mofongo I've ever tasted. The pork had a crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside and the flavor or was spoton. I had to force myself to stop eating it because it was so good and I was so full. I tried their Alcapurria with beeffilling and beef and cheese Empanada. Both had plenty of filling and yummy. I also had their flan. It had the sugary saucefor every Bute and then some. That was so good. I also ordered take out for my daughter. Jonathan had left,, but the otherChef and co-owner, Elizabeth,, who is Jonathan's. mother took my order.. she was just as personable as her son. I ordered thebeef Alcapurria, beef and cheese Empanada and the pizza Empanada. The pizza Empanada wasn't what we expected. It was sweet, but it was good. I also got the Arroz con Gandules which came with sweet plantains. They were both really good. The sweetplantains were one of the best I've had. The white rice was good and the beans that come with the rice, which also came withsweet plantains, were as flavorful as everything else we had. We loved everything. We will definitely com Read more

Wicked good food and the nicest, most accommodating staff. We all loved the complimentary soup (described as a sancocho/chicken... soup hybrid), the hot sauce and the garlic sauce are flavorful, and the empanadas were my favorite! There's tons of choices andI don't think you could go wrong with what you pick. Read more
