Stale aloo vada , bhel phuri with no sauce and very little veggies / chana , egg puff with barely half an egg . Don?t waste your money here. They need change their chef and I think even the owners are aware of the food quality here that?s... being served to customers. Every dish we ordered is dripped with oil I extracted a small cup of oil from the Poori and the Subziwas sour God knows when that was made. Overall waste of money and this place should be closed if they plan to continue tomaintain the service like this. Remember that it?s everyone?s hard earned money that?s used to pay for the food and it?s notlike we got them just like that so that you expect that we spend it at Cake Walk just for the heck of it!!! The worst service ever. We ordered a special custom cake for our daughter's birthday. My wife sat down with one of the... employees and showed them pictures of what we wanted. We paid advance and were ready to pay extra for all the decorative flowerwork we wanted. On the day of pick up, we got a completely different cake and the same employee started arguing that we werewrong. Definitely a big let down for an otherwise perfect party. I ordered a pack of small and big samosas ? they were basically like eating raw batter?also the onions tasted like they were... raw. I also ordered ghee roast (it took the front lady 15 minutes to process the order of a plain ghee roast ? she kept askingme for masala dosa) and when the dosa came it did not taste at all like they used ghee ? I think they used oil. The dosa wasalso very overdone and part of it was burned. The batter was also really sour. On top of it those two things alone cost 25$.Also the general area was very unclean and smelled like fish and chicken (as a vegetarian this was very disconcerting). BAD SERVICE, WORSE FOOD?..AVOID as I am sure any positive reviews are friends of owners. Terribly disappointed! I used to like... this place, but now their bakery items such as pastries and puffs seem at least 3-4 days old. Also Ordered onion dosa and whatI got was a normal dosa with raw onions sprinkled on top. I ordered ALU Tkki Burger, chilli onion masala dosas(2), chicken puff and chicken kathi roll yesterday for dine in. We were all... thoroughly disappointed withe taste and quality of all the items. The food especially chicken puff, kathi roll and ALU tikkiburger appeared stale. The dosas and the filling were absolutely tasteless and onion was added on top of tasteless cooked mashedpotatoes. I informed and complained to the two attending ladies about our disappointment. Definitely, not a place worthvisiting. Read more
My experience with Cake Walk has declined over the years. It is not what it used to be. Though the food is average, the customer... service has gone from bad to worse. My last visit was a nail in the coffin...never again going to be a patron of Cake Walk. Onmy last visit with my son, who was in the area for a college seminar, I ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Chicken Kathi Roll. I wastold that Mysore Masala Dosa will take time (20 minutes or so) and I updated my order to regular Masala Dosa, which I was toldwill take 5 minutes. It took them over 30 minutes. Worse my son's order of Chicken Kathi Roll was not even sent to the kitchenfor 45 minutes. After expressing my unhappiness, my son ended up getting the Chicken Wrap and not the Chicken Kathi Roll that hewanted. A very unhappy and frustrating experience. Read more
