Good service, delicious fried chicken. Good bacon too (not pictured). We split a whole chicken, mac and cheese and a small Cobb... salad. The chicken was absolutely delicious, especially after you added some of their hot honey to it. The mac & cheese wasdifferent, it seems like a lot of the cheese dropped off the noodle however it all tasted good. I really enjoyed thesalad. Thank you chef. Read more
Dinner was good they seem to be busy. It was very convenient to see the show at the benedum. The hush puppies were wonderful.... The bacon was spicy. The shrimp and grits were good. The biscuits and jam are good. The mashed potatoes are not my favorite.Chopped salad was good. Great beer selection. Read more
Loved the decor, the ambiance and the FOOD! Was down in Pittsburgh at the end of April and was lucked into this place which is... known for their fried chicken - delicious and so moist inside. Try the sides. I recommend the hush puppies, the buttermilkbiscuits and the mac and cheese. Oh, drinks are lovely too. We had an Eagle Ice Tea and a Blackberry Lemonade. Read more
We came at an off time so the restaurant was pretty open but the atmosphere was still fun. Our sever helped walk us through some... menu favorites and his recommendation of the chicken was of course on point. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, everything wasfresh and tasty. We took our time over a few drinks and weren't rushed out at all. As we left it started to fill in with happyhour crowds, seemed like a fun vibe! Read more
Definitely recommend. We recently went to The Eagle location in Louisville, KY and decided to go to the one in our hometown... because I was craving their spicy chicken dip! The dip is worth the trip. The chips were overly salted but dusting it off wasfine. The Mac n cheese almost reminds me of scalloped potatoes but with noodles! Very different in a good way! The chickensandwich, we actually liked better in Kentucky only because of the seasoning. In Kentucky, the chicken was spicy - either fromthe breading or being tossed in hot sauce. Still really tasty but I hope there will be a spicy chicken sandwich option in thefuture! Read more
The chicken was Delicious! We were searching for a place downtown in Pittsburgh to eat at that we hadn’t gone to before and we... were pleasantly impressed! Sam was attentive and friendly. The chicken was so flavorful! ????We purchased a whole chicken whichcould eaily fill up 3 to 4 people. Chicken was Crisp and bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The honey drizzle???? Our sides were mashed potatoes (horseradish too strong - Anthony removed from bill Ty!), greens (vinegar flavored yummy)and macaroni and cheese a little runny but okay together a great match for my taste buds. We also got the corn bread which hadactual corn inside moist with butter to top it off. My daughter got a chicken sandwich and my mother-in-law ordered the samewith the exception of the yams. The manager Anthony was absolutely phenomenal thank you for making our dinner lively providingus a little history lesson and for ensuring we had a great experience at The Eagle. Highly recommended. Everything was delicious. The hot honey for the chicken was “chefs kiss”. The chicken itself was also very well seasoned. We... tried the macaroni and cheese which was very very good… Spoonbread with a honey butter.. they’re homemade biscuits… andthe sweet potato crock… would highly recommend. Also took an order of biscuits home and their fried chicken sandwich. Willdefinitely recommend and return! Staff was friendly. Morgan waited on us and she was awesome. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I have been checking it out for a while and decided to stop in as soon as they... opened on a Thursday afternoon. Everything I ate ( 1/4 white fried chicken, mashed potatoes, collards and biscuits) wasdelicious. The chicken was seasoned well and it was fried perfectly in my opinion. The collards were also seasoned well. Ihonestly can't wait to go back ????. The service was also good and my server Brittany was very attentive. Read more
