I live in the area and Shiloh Gastro probably has the best food in the neighborhood (with the exception of $$$$ places like the... Fish Grotto). Most of the other places on Shiloh St are all solid, but SG wins for creativity/quality/value. The octopus dishis a standout, great flavors and very filling. I also like the Philly and there is also a lesser known brunch on Sundays. Thelocation allows for great people watching and the building (the old Soffel residence) is attached to an interesting story fromthe late 1800s. Read more

Good food, nice outdoor deck. Service was very slow and it wasn't very busy.
We were staying in downtown Pittsburgh to see a Penguins game, and we stumbled upon this restaurant after taking the T and the... Monongahela Incline. The menu was great, with plenty of vegetarian options! I got the Impossible burger, which was delicious,and I think my partner got some kind of fish sandwich. The staff was very friendly. The place was understaffed, but no reason for my food to come out cold, and when i had a complaint the waitress had a bad... attitude, seating was bad, near the door, freezing draft all night, was looking forward to eating here. When i had my foodremade, it seems like they threw the onion rings back in the deep frier and burnt them. Restrooms are not marked. At least theytook half off our two meals that were cold. But the sit here for 2 hours, mostly waiting is unacceptable. Read more
Too crowded for my liking & FYI no mask wearing by the staff. This made me uncomfortable. But otherwise decent meal. Very slow... service but overall the food was ok. Everything was fine, but that's the best adjective I can think to use. Read more
