The first two times we ate there food and service were great! We decided to go there last night for dinner. This time the... chicken was overcooked and dry. Some of the best ramen in the area is located at Nanban! I can?t with a friend who orders a pork belly bao bun and beef empanada... and raved about how good they were. I ordered the chicken shoyu ramen and tofu bao bun (both pictured). The bao bun was thesoftest, fluffiest bun with a delicious sauce on the tofu. The ramen was awesome as well! Nanban Asian Soul Food restaurant in Lawrenceville. This dish just blew me away. Gochujang Drumsticks with Biscuits and Tonkotsu... Gravy ( I switched out the drumsticks for a Chicken Breast). This was one of the tastiest meals I have ever had. I can't wait toget back. Carry On Nanban!! Read more
This is an awesome place. It's the people who ran Ki Pollo and Ki Ramen under one roof. The customer service is amazing and the... people are patient. The food was good. The ramen was delish. I was craving fried chicken so I Google ?Best fried chicken in Pittsburgh?, this place showed up and it was nearby, so I tried... it. This is not your usual fried chicken restaurant, it is Asian so I was somehow hesitant but I was in the mood for friedchicken so I ordered for me, my wife and my kids. We ordered fried check 8 pieces, fried cauliflower, Chicken sandwich, nuggetsand kids meal: Roman with nuggets. Perfect fusion lunch spot that won't break the bank! I would try a combination of empanadas (the shroom one is the best) and 1-2... bao buns if you just need something light (or to share), but the sandwiches and ramen looked spectacular as well.
