When I came to Pittsburgh for a conference last week I didn’t expect to stumble upon the best chicken wings I’ve ever eaten.... As I walked down Liberty Ave in search of a meal, I was drawn in by an enchanting aroma. As I entered I was greeted by thesounds of sizzling fryers and some very friendly faces. In town for a conference and was looking for cheap but good eats. I think i hit the mark on this spot. Picked up fish and chips... with fried cod that was absolutely delicious. There are enough interesting things on the blackboard menu that I\'m sure I\'ll beback before i leave the city. Friendly service completed the trip. Went back to the hotel and dug in. Got some interested staresfrom my colleagues. I handed them the menu. In my office I\'m know as the foodie and they all consult me for recommendations.Easy call here. Read more
Place had good reviews, in town for a conference so went at lunch. Ordered a burger deal and pie to go. Long story short, cook... lost my ticket. Went up to the counter after 30 minutes after I had observed a burger sitting on the counter for awhile. Cookand his assistant claimed it was fresh (small place easy to see). The cook then argued with me the whole time I complained ina regular calm voice. He took no responsibility, was unpleasant and threatened to throw my food in the trash. I\'m a retiredmilitary veteran who is diabetic and I have to eat food around a schedule, so I needed it. The cook arguing added another 5minutes to the wait. Lost tickets happen, but rude arguing cooks shouldn\'t, and in all truth, the burger was not warm andbarely mediocre overall . The whole ordeal was just very disappointing, wont be going back for the rest of the week and I mighthave if things turned out different. Read more
I had the fried cod with coleslaw and fries. The cod was great, pretty obviously not frozen, and the batter was just the right... mix of light and crispy. Looking for a freshly made burger? Try this place! Everything is made to order and is absolutely delicious. The portions are... huge and well worth the price. I love their uniquely made fries, it has a small kick to them which make them really good. Read more
Their burger is nice and fish tastes yummy. I also like homemade fries.
First time here and surely coming back. Today i tried Tuna sandwich and it is super good. Not like other places that put a pound... of mayo. This is fresh tuna, veggies and sliced eggs on cripsy toasted bread. Soooo good and filling enough for a quick bite. Ihad the Snickers cake too, soooooooo good omg. Read more
