Best Italian in PGH Apps: - braised octopus: top tier. Perfect charring. The sauce and greens perfectly compliment the food -... garlic knots: must get with the cheese and marinara. Very good. The knots themselves are a tad sweet, but is balanced out wellby the marinara Entrees: - Vesuvio: the creaminess and kick of the sauce with the crispy pancetta with the perfectly al dentepasta is just “mama Mia” - Pork chop: brined 24 hours, sous vide to medium. Possibly the best pork chop I’ve ever had. Eatevery bite with a piece of the fried polenta. Read more

Simply put, this was the best meal we've had in our 61 years on earth. We each had a small plate, the house salad and an entree... and everything was perfection. Anthony and Melanie's food is art. Seasonings were unique, creative, and perfectly thought out.Great care goes into each dish. The vibe is chill, our server Ally (Alejandra) is great at her craft. Want a preview of heaven?Hit up LeVia. Read more

Finally, an AUTHENTIC and EXCELLENT ITALIAN in Pittsburgh where so many eateries claim to be, but are generally horrible... imitation of a great culinary culture. True to it’s name, it has the ambiance of a trattoria, better yet, a trattorriola, acozy Italian cocina restorante! The menu is short and sweet; a party of two could easily order all of it and truly have aterrific party. It changes with the season and local produce. The chef seems very creative. None of that horrible chicken pastaor spaghetti meatballs that has contaminated America. Italians love that chicken is chicken and never co-mingled/cooked togetherwith pasta, and that meatballs are just that. Also, Italian cuisine is more than marinara ragú. Enjoy the small plates. I’mpartial to the Poached Swordfish, Octopus and Pork Belly, the latter is scrumptious! Each has silken creamy sauces, exquisitelyItalian. For mains: Fettucine with clams is superb. Pork chops are juicy tender. It’s BYOW. If you check out the menu on thewebsite or Instagram ahead of time, pick the bottle from you cellar and anticipate your gustatory delight. Service isexceptional! Read more

I came here first for an anniversary dinner, then a birthday dinner (party of 15)! They accommodated our large group and our... server was so friendly! The food is truly amazing and they even switch up the menu from time to time. I have tried the vesuvio,as well as the fettuccine and would 10/10 recommend either dish. The garlic bread (add the cheese and marina sauce :)) anddonuts are also super delicious! This is my new favorite Italian food spot! Read more

I can’t speak highly enough of LeVia. The food was absolutely fantastic, we probably tried just about everything on the menu.... It was just as beautiful to look at as it was incredible to eat. Perfect flavor, perfect temp, everything! I posted the 5 itemswe got below. JUST KNOW THEY TASTE EXACTLY HOW THEY LOOK + MORE. It’s BYOB, but we chose not to drink anything and they had avariety of delicious sparkling waters to chose from. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, it was romantic, had energy(you’re connected to the kitchen and can see the chef in action if you take a peak!), and the staff there just made us feel sowelcome. It’s as if we’ve been coming there for years! I can’t wait to go back. Read more
