Truly excellent food! Great option for takeout or dine in, and they have a weekday buffet. If you're unsure about the spiciness,... just ask for the medium or low spice level. I prefer flavorful-spicy instead of burn-your-tongue-spicy and got the vindaloo(traditionally a VERY spicy dish) at the medium spice level and loved it. Read more

Kabab King did the catering for our wedding reception, and they were awesome! Our family is Bangladeshi / American and both... groups liked the food, which is an unusual occurrence for us. We tried a couple different restaurants in the North Hills andthis was definitely the best one. They were also very kind and helpful with the delivery, and providing heating elements for thefood. Below was the review I gave a few months ago but today the quality was poor don?t know if the ownership changed but the Kabab... was awful and there was no green yogurt chutney either - will not come back Been to this restaurant for take out of their Kababand this being my 4th visit . I have to say it is one of my favorite places to go to get Sheekh Kabob . The host Tania is justawesome getting the order right while being pleasant. Come advice for the restaurant is ambiance- they need to work on theirstore decorations to create an atmosphere and soothing music in the background would help Read more

First of all for being Kabob King looking at their menu they only had two kabobs beef and a chicken. We had the chicken tikka... masala which wasn't bad but typical being the chicken was really dry and overcooked. If it wasn't for the sauce I would haveneeded it much more water than I got. Also they didn't have any ice cubes so hopefully you like warm water. Also got the beefwrap which was almost in all reality a gyro made with pita bread but not as much flavor. The garlic naan was good as was therice on its own. Add the tikka masala sauce made a little bit better. I wanted to get a shrimp dish but they had no shrimp. Imay go back and get that as the vindaloo is supposed to be spicy hot. Read more

In the past year, I have purchased food from Kabab King, an Indian and Pakistani restaurant, for delivery, takeout, and eating... inside the restaurant. Many dishes contain meat such as chicken, lamb, and goat, but some vegetable appetizers and entrees areavailable. Prices are reasonable. The food tastes very good. One suggestion is the for employee to automatically bring utensilsand drink refills. Read more

This place probably has the best rice in all of Pittsburgh. And I say this as someone who didn't even order a rice-based dish! I... got the Chana masala, paratha, gulab jamun, and vegetable samosas. When I first arrived to the restaurant, I was greeted by afriendly lady who quickly found my takeout order and gave me a compliment. I'd think the service would be quite good here. MyChana masala was excellent, maybe the best in Pittsburgh. The sauce was thick and had a nice undertone of sweetness, which isnot usually present in masala sauces. It was a bit more on the oily side, though, but the oil did have a good flavor too. Theportion was great. I thought the spice was perfect, but it would be nice if the website asked for spice level or customization. The main entree is accompanied by delicious rice. It has the perfect amount of oil, spice, salt, and carrots (or some orangevegetable). The paratha is not very airy, as it is more of a heavy bread. It's pretty good, but in my opinion, not worth $4.Next time, I will likely order naan. The samosas are really excellent though! Absolutely huge, full of potato chunks, nice bitsof chunks, and great crisp too. The gulab jamun were quite tasty, too. Decent amount of syrup and good size to them, althoughthey were not that exciting. Again, I'm not sure if it's worth $8 for 4 gulab jamuns, but they are tasty. Overall, the food isexcellent. Most of the portions are huge and the flavor is amazing. A few items I thought were alright but not worth the price(paratha and gulab jamun). Read more
